Always a great place for original calabash seafood. Sat out by the dock. Shrimp and flounder was fabulous. Deviled crab was super good.

A decent option in Calabash. Definitely not fine dining but a reasonable option nonetheless. The normal selection of tiny fried shrimp and related sides with generous portions of hush puppies at the start.

Got the fried seafood combo with shrimp and clam strips. It came out super fast and was delicious. Got a seat out back on the patio and watched some boats go by on the waterfront. It was a great lunch and I'll be back for sure

Ate lunch there yesterday. Ordered broiled flounder. Was terrible as well as the baked potato and slaw. Puppies were good. Flounder had no taste and had something all over it, maybe butter. The potato was yellow too like it was reheated. The slaw was not good. I’ve been here several times and it was always good. Not this time. My friend ordered fried shrimp and flounder. They said it was not as good as remembered. I tasted a shrimp, no taste. The waitress forgot about us and when we paid, the cashier did not ask how our food was. I ate 2 puppies, a bite of fish and a bite of the slaw and potato. I will not be returning.

I got the flounder, baked potato, and slaw. The flounder was the worse I ever had, no flavor, taste like been frozen for years and I've been eating flounder for years so believe me it was the worse. The slaw wasn't any better. I wouldn't recommend it for a good place to eat at all.

Some of the best seafood I have ever eaten. I had grouper bites and fried shrimp, hush puppies. Can't say enough wonderful things about Captian Nances.

Went 11/8 with friends. Nice portion for price & green beans are awesome. Amanda is a great server. Susan(hostess/cashier) came across as a racist. Talked to others, but refused to say anything to us and insisted on placing money on counter. Susan is the only reason I don't recommend.
We had lunch here and it was delicious! Everything was fresh! Lightly battered and fried shrimp, founder and deviled crab. The cole slaw was slightly sweet and cabbage was crisp. Green beans were like Grandma’s and hush puppies tasted homemade. Service was excellent and restaurant was clean. A must to try when in Calabash or nearby.
Went here with my family and we enjoyed the food and service! We ate inside but it was nice outside and seating available outside as well. Hushpuppies were provided as free appetizer while we looked at the menu for our meals. I personally had the lunch special which consist of coleslaw, fried fish, fried clam strips and fries. I would come back again for sure!

We saw this place on our way to the Dolphin Cruise Friday, November 8, 2024. The older woman/cashier, Susan, wasn't very friendly when greeting us. We didn't let that change our minds. We had a wonderful server, Amanda, who we enjoyed and we are grateful we had her because she made up for all the manners Susan is lacking. When it was time to pay, Susan chose to place my money on the counter instead of my hand. I needed change so that I could tip and she did the same thing. She attempted to repeat this same step with my friend, but my friend held her hand out and wouldn't pick the money up. Someone needs to ask Susan if she has a problem with blacks.
