This was my first time visiting Capt Nance. The service wasn't bad at all, it took only about 10-15 minutes to be seated. We had a party of six. The restaurant was very bright and the tables were a little tight. The food was average tasting, but they did give you plenty. The prices were above average, that's the problem I had. I spent over $60 for fried shrimp, and a fried fish entree.

Visited today on a whim. Standards of shrimp cocktail and clam chowder were on point! B. U. T. They had fresh NC steamed oysters AND steamer pots. We sure did enjoy the trip. HIGHLY recommended!
The atmosphere and service were great. It was nice watching the sunset on the deck. Snapper special was good. However, I was a bit disappointed by the cheap imitation bacon bits that came with the baked potato.

I have always liked Captain Nance's for years. I drove specifically here today November 26th of 25 to eat on the deck in this nice weather. They have a new menu printed and I see things have gone up a little as expected but a lot of things were not priced and I was very surprised when I got to the register and paid $6.99 for a regular bottle of beer. My fault for not asking but I never expected it to be that much. Nonetheless the food and atmosphere was good.
