Love Carbo's & the owners Carol & Bo 💕. Yes it's a cash-only private-club bar so a very small membership fee as required by NC...& well worth it!!
I lived close by & frequented back in the 90s thru 2006 when I moved back to Ohio...I've also visited every time I was area (x8) & I love how it has remained the same friendly bar that welcomes all that enters! Many holidays I spent there & the owners would cook up a feast for those that didn't have family close by.
I'm looking forward to going again soon!! Miss y'all

Just a group of veterans looking for an easy night out. We were hoping to grab a couple of drinks and relax, but the experience was disappointing from the start. We were told we had to pay a membership fee, which wasn’t mentioned anywhere online, and then found out it was cash-only after the fact. The staff wasn’t friendly or welcoming, so we decided to leave — and we won’t be back. Not a tourist-friendly spot at all, and overall, it felt like a very insular establishment.

Great, relaxed spot to grab a drink or two! Sharron is the absolute BEST bartender you will ever find!!! She is so personable and knows how to take care of her guests!!! There aren’t too many late night spots open in the Little River/Calabash area, so Carbos is the place to go!!!

This place was actually pretty good at one time until the current bartender Kelly started working. She is extremely unprofessional and in general just not a pleasant person to be around. She has absolutely no problem over serving a patron then letting them drive away. The bartender that works Tuesdays and Fridays is much nicer, so if you plan to go I suggest those days as long as Kelly is there. It is a members only place, but a member can sign you in or sign you up. Unfortunately right now, Kelly along with a couple of her Elks Lodge friends will pick and choose who can be signed in or not. They will make up blatant lie about people just to not allow them to be signed in by a member.
