For a Saturday evening, this place had lots of available seating.
Absolutely great views out the numerous large windows made the evening a bit better.
Iced tea was great; fries were very good; the flounder was tender and flaky, but the vegetable of the day (green beans) was a warm up the can mess. Not even an attempt at seasoning--nor were they very hot.
Our server may have been spread a bit thin as drink refills were delayed and minor issues with some of the checks in our multiple family party.
Too many places around to be living on reputation.

Drove up from Myrtle Beach for dinner, which was SO disappointing. Scallops were tough and flavorless. Same with the flounder. Will never eat there again. Spent a lot of money for nothing.

My food was cold, 33.00 for a tiny piece of flounder, 6 tiny scallops I couldn't eat and deviled crab.ALL COLD Husbands ribeye he said was not good. First and last time we will go. Would have rather spent 70.00 at Kroger and cooked myself.

We’ve been going to Dockside for years. However tonight the food was not good at all. My fried oysters were lukewarm and hardly fried. Same went for the scallops. Hush puppies were greasy. My husband said his fish was good, but shrimp was just ok. Probably won’t be visiting again anytime soon. The view was the best part.

beautiful, we sat outside and the service was great! However, the crab dip was lukewarm and non of the food really had any taste. The vegetable of the day was canned green beans, they weren’t fresh at all. Lastly, I asked for a loaded baked potato and received margarine and a packet of sour cream. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but, I was disappointed.
I love this place. Been going since I was a child. All the staff is so friendly. Food is basic, but good. Always consistent.

This restaurant has delicious food-calabash seafood platters, hush puppies, and a variety of seafood meals. I had the shrimp scampi and it was very good! The service was great and so were the views of the water!

This restaurant made Calabash seafood famous... At least for our family for the past 30 years. The menu has hardly changed, and that's fine with us. Hush puppies are always a treat, as is the sweet tea, seafood platter and the coleslaw.
Kid-friendliness: They have a children's menu which includes seafood choices and much more.

We went here because my father in law had loved the hush puppies here on another trip. I can't eat hush puppies, so I can't judge them. The food was pretty good except for the seafood stew - it tasted like ketchup and BBQ sauce. Not sure what was happening, but the waitress took it back easily, so I think that's a common thing. My kiddo ordered the salmon fillet and she absolutely loved it and ate every piece! My husband loved the ravioli. I had a seafood platter. It was good, but not excellent. Mostly because the oysters and crab Louise were pretty dry. The service though most absolute mentioned. The waitress was the cheeriest, most organized, sweetest person that ever lived.
Dietary restrictions: They were great with dairy allergy.
Kid-friendliness: My kiddo absolutely loved her salmon fillet - but I don't think it was actually part of a kids menu.

Really had high hopes based on how long it’s been here, but left a little bit disappointed. The food was not bad, just didn’t feel it was worth the cost. I guess the waterfront view counts for something. Raw oysters were good, fried scallops were good. I added salt and pepper to my prime rib because it needed more seasoning. Would not get the flounder stew again.

Probably the worst food I have ever had at a restaurant. My fish was insanely overcooked I couldn’t even eat it the green beans had no seasoning at all and my baked potato was undercooked they did everything wrong. Also the bathroom is horrible. Do not eat here you will regret it. I never do food reviews but this made me that mad. Staff wise everyone was very nice.

I don't really post many food reviews but the food at this place was so nasty I just felt like I needed to warn people before they spent $20-30 on a plate here. The staff was very friendly but it was honestly the worst restaurant I've ever eaten at. It was inedible. Everyone at my table had different entrees such as the fried shrimp, blackened Mahi, prime rib sandwich, fried flounder, different sides, and there was nothing cooked correctly, not even the baked potato ? I honestly felt like I was in a Kitchen Nightmares episode it was that bad.
