The Oyster Rock Waterfront Seafood

My husband and I ate at the Oyster Rock for the first time last night. It was amazing. Our server Lynn was so nice and accommodating. The grouper special and the Deep Treasure (scallops) were delicious. Topped dinner off with a mixed berry cobbler topped with vanilla ice cream which was divine!

excellent ! we were celebrating our 44th anniversary and had a wonderful time - delicious food and such a wonderful waitress - attentive , took our picture and we never felt rushed - atmosphere was filled with smiles and people enjoying themselves we love it here !

Food was delicious as always! Staff were super sweet and the swordfish in the seafood cream sauce was PHENOMENAL.

Oyster Rock has the BEST of everything. Always a go-to for us when we come down each summer.

Magnificent dining experience!!! Worth every penny and then some! We had outstanding service from Tyler; very knowledgeable about the dishes and great waiter! We started with a dozen oysters 4 each of the 3 they had that evening, 1/2 pound peel and eat shrimp and a side of hushpuppies. Great start to the meal. After the appetizers the restaurant has complimentary chips and shrimp dip which was to die for!! Entrees for the table were: Deep Treasure (seared scallops), Tender is Tonight (8 oz filet mignon) and the Elk special. Everyone cleaned their plate and left nothing behind it was that amazing! Key Lime Pie for dessert! The attention to detail on the food from the chefs and the marvelous service from Tyler made for the most enjoyable dinner! High recommend for dinner and also make reservations!!

Always a great meal at Oyster Rock! It's our favorite restaurant when we come to the beach!

I've been going to oyster rock on my annual NC trip for the last 8 years and it never disappointments. The food, staff and atmosphere is incredible! Great experience and cannot wait for my next trip already

Can't say enough about the restaurant management - they just get it- in particular Bryant's Porter. Our servers are always spot on without exception and know how to serve customers. All in all best customer experience around. I'll book a reservation every time I know I'm going to be in the area. Well done Oyster Rock!!!!!!

Everything was fresh and delicious! Crab dip with warm, fresh pita was amazing. Shrimp Scampi was perfect with flavorful lemon & butter sauce. Hush puppies YUM! My BF had grouper and couldn't stop raving about the flavor, although I don't recall what the sauce was on top, but he said it was top notch. No room for dessert, but ordered a slice of Key Lime Pie to go. Teresa V was so personable and we enjoyed her very much.

EJ was an excellent waiter. Food and drinks arrived promptly and were very good. I had oysters on the half shell and a wedge salad. Highly recommend.

Simply outstanding! Oyster Rock never disappoints. Food, service, and value were all 5 stars. Our out of town guest said her seafood baked casserole was the best she ever had.

Seated inside. Was ok until a group of six women who assumed it is ok to scream at each other and laugh hysterically were seated next to us. But what can you do about learning to be a tad considerate. Now our server Joel was absolutely wonderful and took great care of us during our dining experience. The clam chowder and oysters Rockefeller were so delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed those. Husband had the filet special with scallops and shrimp served with a delicious white sauce. Very good but the steak was just alright. Brother had scallops served in white wine sauce and the scallops were as he said were mushy and flavorless. He said pan seared would have done them justice. I ordered the grilled romaine salad that was not good. There might have been 1 tablespoon of goat cheese and a few bites of tomato. The bacon had an odd taste. I orders the peel and eat shrimp which are in shell and NOT deveined. So I could not eat those BUT Joel took care of me and I had an excellent jumbo shrimp cocktail. We have been coming here for a few years now and it was unfortunately a disappointment. I know the fresh fish specials are always phenomenal so till next time

This restaurant is above Top Notch!!! All of the employees, from hostesses to servers, bus boys to management are beyond incredible!!! Our most favorite restaurant by far along the whole Grand Strand & surrounding areas!!! Request Joe or Matt as your servers, you will not be disappointed!

This is a great place, we love it here. Food is always perfect, great variety and the service is always on point. I hate to give it a good review to bring more people here and make it even harder to get in. However, they deserve recognition for a great experience.
