I cannot think of a place which is less appealing and appetizing than this. Inside it looks like an old deliberate warehouse, and I don't mean this is a compliment. Just really sad. My friends and I sat down and decided not to order, because we lost our appetite.

One of my favorite restaurants ever, you can pick anything from the menu and it will always be good, or you can at least try something new. Twice cooked pork is the best thing on the menu for me.

If you want amazing, authentic Sichuan food without all the pretensions that come with a "fancy" restaurant, then come here. This is legit Sichuan style food that is bursting with flavor and with big portion sizes for how much you pay.Try the garlic and eggplant, ba shu chicken, or the tai an spicy fish fillet soup. Those are my personal favorites. All are AMAZING.P.S. Some people complain that the wait staff don't come around often enough. In authentic Chinese restaurants, it is not expected that the server checks on you often, and it is perfectly polite (and expected) to flag them down. Just waive and they will come immediately.

I have to update my review because after getting takeout from here again, I have to say I am appalled at the sheer amount of oil in their dishes. The egg rolls were practically inedible because of the sogginess from the loads of oil. Do yourselves and your stomachs a favor by eating somewhere a bit healthier. Or be mindful about what you order.

ordered food on Chinese New Year. Steamed pork belly with rice flour, lo mien house special and steamed whole fish with soy sauce. the lo mien and steamed pork belly are swimming in oil. Complained to the manager but responded "what you order is what we freshly cook" I told him meat and lo mein are very hard like cooked 5 days ago and swimming in oil. Teamed fish taste is ok but very small fish, very expensive for the price. It's a waste of money.

Taste is just okay. Apparently, they do not replace their cooking oil often. Complimentary rice is not fresh either.
My Gourmet Kingdom experiences have been excellent. I have ordered take out and dine in, both were delicious. I would say this is more of a place to go with a group, and split everything family style.The atmosphere is very bare bones, but the yummy food makes up for it. I love the string beans they serve and would eat these everyday for the rest of my life if possible. I also enjoyed their cold noodles, and mapo tofu.

Great for group dining so you can try as many dishes as you can from their extensive menu! We really enjoyed the spicy fish, the shrimps and the duck!

I love the food here, it's ruined every other Chinese restaurant for me. The soups are great; the duck dish I got was incredibly flavorful without being *too* spicy; the tofu dish was delightful, very light and lovely tofu with bok choy cooked perfectly and a delicious sauce.

Decent food, terrible service. The waitress brought our food out and never came back again. Had to wait 25 minutes for a bill after we finished eating. Never got napkins, forks, any drink or water refills, had to go find our own box for leftovers.
