Not impressed with my $7 hot chai. It wasn’t very hot and the chai didn’t have much flavor. I love supporting small coffee shops but this one needs to do better.

Love this place, great coffee. BUT the pricing makes no sense. 8 oz cappuccino with 2 shots: $4.50. 6 oz cappuccino with one shot (why?): $3.75. If you want to add the 2nd shot back in (are they actually only pulling one shot?? Or pulling 2 and throwing 1 away?), it costs $1.50, which is more than the 8oz capp that has more milk in it. What? But if you switch to a cortado (6 oz? 4 oz? Not sure), it's $4.50 - again, same as an 8 oz capp that has more milk in it.

If you want oat milk, it's another dollar (tax the lactose intolerant!!), regardless of the drink size. So if you want a latte with 14oz of oat milk or a cortado with 2-4oz, you pay the same. Common practice but stupid, especially when most baristas overpour the milk and then throw the excess away.

But the coffee is good and I love the vibe. Just want someone to do some math.

Why are you asking for a tip when your restaurant is living wage certified by the city or state? We didn't like how those living wage certificates were displayed ... well away from being visible at the cash register. We also didn't like how the tip screen on the iPad was angled so slightly on the counter that the cashier could very clearly see your tip being entered. 👎🏼👎🏼

Wasn't acknowledged right away..pricey for me..decided to try something around locally but it's cheaper to go to Starbucks..just wasn't my cup of tea..lots of space to use your laptop everyone was using one..didn't feel welcomed..price check $7.50 for my 16oz coffee.small parking hard to come out since it's a main road.

We visited a few days ago, and while the quality of the food was decent, the atmosphere left much to be desired. The furniture and cafe itself were unclean, and there was no parking available. I would not recommend it.

This experience was a bummer. Read the good reviews and decided to check it out, but we never got to order since the 3 staff members behind the counter couldn’t be bothered to stop for 2 seconds and say hello or “I’ll be right with you” or anything. We stood there feeling invisible for several minutes at the register before I made eye contact with a female employee who was literally 2 feet in front of me the whole time but wouldn’t acknowledge us, to which she said “umm hi, it’ll be several minutes.” We own a retail business too and I understand that sometimes things get busy, but you should never be so busy that you can’t look up from what you’re doing to greet a customer standing right in front of you for several minutes. We opted for giving our business to a location nearby. It’s a bummer because the reviews look great, but maybe only recognized patrons or immediate locals are treated well

Absolutely AWFUL service. Walked in. Wasn’t even acknowledged. Had to stand there and blatantly grab eye contact and still they said nothing. Finally asked “is anyone working?” And then they dismissively and with a smart ass tone said “uhhh give us a few min” with a condescending tone. Apparently if we aren’t a “they/them” we aren’t worth their attention. Next time I’ll show up with rainbow hair color then maybe I can get service. Kidding. Will never go to this disgusting poor service place with rude staff again.

More indoor seating than any other place in the area. Cute patio in the back and shaded seating in the front. Not many parking spots, but there is a free lot right behind it. Free wifi, super clean bathrooms, and their mochas are to die for! They also use glassware for dining in---yay sustainability! Love LOVE this place as a student needing to study <3

I’m on a mission to rate area coffee shops based on their noise level, which is often overlooked but crucial for those who seek a quieter environment. At Open Eye, the noise level regularly hits around 80 dB—definitely too loud for my liking. Wearing headphones isn’t a solution when the sound reaches this level. If you need a peaceful spot to work or relax, this might not be the best choice. For everything else, I agree with the consensus—the coffee, service, and seating options are all solid. But if noise level is a factor for you, consider this before visiting.
