What can i say? The man is a magician...hands down the best pizza in the triangle I've tried so far. Crust is absolute perfection. Thin and crispy(NY style almost) but with a Neapolitan style twist.

Our favorite place. Fantastic food, great service. Pizza is the best around, very similar to when we visited Italy. Everyone is very friendly. I recommend to friends all the time.

Zero flop Neapolitan? Yes. Amazing toppings, piping hot, careful with the cheese or will melt your face. I think the giant metal gas oven brings the Neapolitan into the firm place that most others can’t achieve. Amazing toppings, we had three pizzas. Formaggi Misti (4 cheese), the Puttanesca (anchovies, olives, capers, chili, garlic…plus cheese), and the special last night was a shredded brussel sprout with chunks of guanciale and pecorino. Very accommodating place for the kids, even asked about allergies at the table without us saying anything. Great staff, great food, must check it out! Setting was great, empty bottles for the water is a neat idea. Staff were super polite to the kids.Dietary restrictions: mindful of food allergies, sensitivities, and mentioning that guanciale was pork (and it was delicious)Parking: tight spots, worth the waitKid-friendliness: asked about allergies at the table without us saying anything, talked to the kids, polite, friendly

Rudest people in North Carolina I’ve ever met. Arrived at 830. Place is full. People are waiting for tables. People at the bar have menus they are looking at to order. I sit down at the bar and don’t need a menu and I say I know what they want. They refuse to serve me saying it is now past 8:30 and even though they are going to be seating people at tables and at the bar, they won’t serve me.

Amazing food - probably the best pizza we have had in the NC area.Highly recommend the basic Margherita pizza to get an idea of the high quality ingredients they use and definitely ask for the chilli oil, which elevates the pizza with a few droplets. Polenta is great and comes with an egg yolk that you mix in leading to extra creaminess in each bite, surrounded by garlicky roasted butter mushrooms. The cacio e pepe style arancini was also amazing and I highly recommend it along with the Winter citrus salad. The cons would be they were extremely busy so the attention from the server was a bit lacking. The tagliatelle was also good, but nothing to write home about. The quantity of pasta for the price was also on the smaller side.My ratings would bePizza - 9.5Arancini and Citrus salad - 9Polenta - 8Tagliatelle - 7This is a great place and I would recommend everyone to check this out, given the caveat that you will need to book in advance during evening as they tend to get pretty busy.

Mercato has the best high-scale pizza in my opinion. I've tried other places that have incredibly high ratings and are famous for their pizza, but I don't think Mercato can be beat. My go-to pizzas are the margherita and the fungi, but I love to try out their specials! Mercato is a gem of a place to go for a special date or celebration.

Excellent salads, arancini, meatballs, and of course pizzas! Wine list pairs really well with menu.

The food here is amazing. The fennel sausage pizza was our favorite. We also had the salami and the margarita. The red pepper flakes makes everything taste better and chili oil. Enjoyed the field green salad, which was huge, meatball anppetizer and the olive oil cake, which tasted like a caramel fireball.

Unique place with creative menu. Pizzas are super thin crisp crust. All the usual toppings with an extra rich tomato sauce or selected real cheeses. Wide variety of Italian wine and craft beers.Vegetarian options: Cheese is optional

The pizza and salad was delicious as well as the green bean appetizer we had. Other than the loud volume of the restaurant everything was the best.

This is, hands down, the best restaurant in Chapel Hill. Their service is second to none. They prioritize the experience just as much as the food and the food is delicious. Do yourself a favor and try the puttanesca pizza. Whether its for a casual date night, or long term anniversary, Mercato is the spot to fill up on good food and good times.
