Great beer selection at this location and others. Food is always good—especially seasonal green tomato dishes. Nice Hybrid of a bar and classy dining setup—always a good environment for drinks, games and TV, or, a quieter, spacious region of tables for dining inside or out with good wait service. Solid spot for drinks and food that generally has “something for everyone.”

Went to dinner in Carrboro for my 25th birthday and walked to Tyler’s to play pool and get drinks afterwards. I was with a few friends and family members, all of age. The bartender wouldn’t serve my 21 year old friend because her ID was cracked. Then, another 22 year old friend ordered a beer. The bartender took his ID and walked over to someone sitting at the bar and asked “it’s 99 right?” Asking if the legal age to drink is 1999. The person sitting at the bar said yes, which didn’t matter because my friend was born in 97. The bartender then jokingly said “wow what are children doing out at this hour.” Mind you, we were there to celebrate my 25th birthday... the bartenders were rude. I’m glad Tyler’s is closing. I won’t be back. It’s a shame that I went there to celebrate my birthday and was treated with such disrespect.

Located in the best part of Carrboro, they have several draft beers to choose from and you can get pretty good food brought over from the restaurant. The environment is cool with pool tables and large garage doors that open out onto the street for an indoor-outdoor experience.

Good place, but doesn't compare to the TT that was in American Tobacco. Fewer games and an overall different vibe. Beer selection seemed a little off the night I was there too. I could always find an IPA to get excited about at the American Tobacco location, but struggled the night I was in Carrboro. We ended up leaving after a couple beers and heading into Chapel Hill.

Brought my crippled mama in here the other day and they were just helpful as could be. She couldn't pick between a stout and a porter so she had my brother going back and forth to the bar to get samples like it was an old timey ice cream shoppe. After the 5th it seemed she realized she doesn't have a taste for any of em and orders a Stella. She's a cripple though so i only josh her a little for that. The patty melt was amazing, melt in your mouth good. And I'm so glad my bro suggested extra garlicky garlic fries cause those mosquitoes are done for. Thanks for everything!

Great choice of southern classics with a spin. How about a Cuban sandwich that has pulled pork?
