Stopped in yesterday for a quick, warm and delicious lunch when I was traveling through Carthage and it did not disappoint. Service was great, atmosphere was cozy and their Tomato-Basil soup warmed my whole soul!
Wonderful to experience a restaurant with such high quality soup and sandwiches. The decor is simple and clean, with lovely touches on the walls. I had the tomato bisque and I will come back just for that, it was so good. The chicken salad with grapes and water chestnuts on toasted wheat was hearty and flavorful. Our server was efficient and very nice. Shame on me for not getting her name. This sure shines as a "mom and pop" establishment. Two bitty fudgy brownie bites...
