“We were in the restaurant on 4/10 and Liz B was our waitress. She was the bubbliest, friendliest waitress and made sure we were taken care of. My husband has high standards for waitresses and as we were leaving he said "she was the best waitress I have had in a long time!" That is a huge comment within itself. “This is an authentic Hibachi/Teppanyaki restaurant (they grille in front of you) with a kind and diverse staff, mainly from Asian descent. It is well designed and quiet. While it is sort of expensive the experience is worth every penny. The staff will take time to make your experience extra nominal. They also take time for your children too! Good 10/10“

“Late lunch birthday celebration with my beautiful wife of 37 years was fantastic. Russell, our server , was attentive and engaging, First time we met but felt like we had known each other for years. Both of our steaks were cooked to perfection and paired perfectly with the 2019 Hall Bergfeld Cabernet. The special birthday dessert was a great end to our lunch. Thank you and see you again soon“

“Excellent service from door to bar to table. wonderful atmosphere, very intimate and beautifully lit setting. Bartenders were awesome; Salad bar was so delicious and offered every imaginative salad topping you can think of with delicious dressings; Tableside cuts of Ribeyes were mouthwatering, tender & juicy-no sauces needed, perfectly seasoned and cooked over woodfire. “They literally made this one of the most special birthday’s ever for my boyfriend!!! Best service, best food, best table in the house!! It was absolutely amazing! We walked in and they delivered his favorite drink to him like requested. The raw oyster appetizer was incredible, calamari was fresh and delicious, crab dip was super (and we’re from Maryland and are picky with crab ? dip). The steaks were cooked perfectly (Pittsburgh style, medium rare) and the dessert was incredible! Cannot thank the team enough!!“

“Ordered the steak burger medium well. The bottom was burnt and crispy. The season wings used to be good and seasoned. Don't think I'll be ordering that item again. I mentioned to the waitress and she bought extra season on the side.“

“Please change some of 20 curbside parking into handicap parking for a disabled veterans. Only 5 handicap spots always full but the 20 curbside pickup are always empty.“

“I traveled home to Durham for a family members funeral service. My son chose this restaurant for dinner. Great location offers I-40 and near 540 also. Very nice kept restaurant, but we and 3 other groups waited in the lobby for 10 or 15 mins without anyone stepping to the hottest desk to greet us. Finally, a young lady "showed up".....no welcome or an apology for our wait. She assumed who was the first group, asking how many of them then said, "Follow me." About 5 mins later, she came back and repeated her line. Ok, she looked upset and never made eye contact, much less any kinda of attempted smile. After we were seated, our waitress Shelly came with a smile and was everything the other young lady wasn't. Friendly, patient, and one of the best waitresses I've ever met. The food was surprising. My streamed broccoli never saw any kinda heat. But even the peice of salmon was a very, very small portion it was cooked to perfection, which made up for my uncooked broccoli. The table service was a ten, but the greetings was actually a two.“

“Rough day to review as it was Easter Sunday. We waited forever for our food, and we had to ask for an update, as noone came to tell us it was 4 tickets backed up. We watched a much larger party who arrived 20 min after us get theirs first, and we only had 4. I felt a comp, a discount or a free dessert would have eased the wait. Even more bread.. as we waited 65 min from order to table. Unsure what the issue was, but possible short cookstaff or overbooking. Either way, they needed to do better Customer Service wise. Food was good, and server was nice.“
