Bogue House Restaurant used to be fantastic. I remember getting large portions for a great price. The food was always wonderful.
I'm not sure what has changed as far as ownership/management, but the food and prices are no longer as great as they used to be. The shrimp is always good, as are the hush puppies and fries. But the mashed potatoes are definitely cheap instant potatoes. And the macaroni also cheap frozen bagged. The butter for the hush puppies is half vegetable...

I'm going to give them them five stars for food even though they're mostly seafood restaurant. I could smell the fishies in the air LOL but I'm just the weirdo that doesn't like it I can tell that the seafood lovers love it and locals alike. And the employees there are always so smiley and just happy to help and make you feel good and not like you're a burden on them and that they don't want to be there. Like some people do and some work environments....
