Bonchon Chapel Hill Reviews
Food was Delicious!! Waitress was nice and inviting!
First when we walked in no one acknowledged us at all. After taking our order , it toke a hour and a half to get our food. Waitress was apologetic. Many people that came in after we did and received their orders. They had eaten and left. When manger came over to speak to us , he was very rude and implied that it was our fault for being impatient then stated it wasn’t a fast food restaurant. He then went on and said if I give you a 20% discount, will you be happy and not complain....read full review
This was my very first time eating here. But, the soy garlic wing (fried crispy) and chicken fried rice.. OMG soooooo good! Just go early so you can sit and eat. I arrived at 8:30 and I couldn’t eat inside because he said they were closing. Luckily, I had already called in my order and I just sat in my car and ate. A little inconvenient, but I made due. The only thing I hated was they gave me all flats (I hate flats) not one drum in the entire order.

Bonchon Chapel Hill provides a friendly and quick dining experience in a modern, minimalist interior. The menu features Korean-style fried chicken with flavorful sauces, including the popular KBBQ and soy garlic options. Other well-liked dishes include pork buns, chicken strips, tteokbokki (rice cakes), and japchae (stir-fried glass noodles). Customers often enjoy the chicken with yangnyeom sauce, praised for its perfect flavor. The spicy wings are noted for their perfect level of spice, sweetness, and crispiness, making them a favorite among regular visitors. The restaurant also offers a kid's menu and can accommodate larger groups, making it suitable for both students and visitors near UNC-Chapel Hill. Takeout is available, typically ready within 15 minutes, and the food remains delicious, with chicken katsu and fried octopus also mentioned as favorites. The staff is friendly and informative, and the service is top-notch. The ambience is nice and the cleanliness of the place is often highlighted. Bonchon Chapel Hill is a great spot for Korean food, though spicy dishes can be quite hot.
