Reservation was at 11:45 and we were seated immediately. Unfortunately unsure if they were staffed for the crowd on Mother's Day. We left at 2 and hadn't been given everything included in our Mother's Day brunch package. We couldn't wait any longer. It took a while for service to check in on us. We were seated by the bathrooms and it took several people asking them to restock toilet paper for it to happen. Everyone was kind and when we told them we were leaving before desert came out, they did give us pastries for the inconvenience.
I love the food at this place. I love that. We have a great vegan spot here in Chapel Hill. I also hate writing a bad review about a great place , but the Mother's Day brunch was an absolute disaster. I get being in weeds but this was far beyond that. We sat down at 11:30 and a server didn't come to the table until after 12 and we went ahead and put our full order in at that time. 1 main dish came out at 1pm, then another around 1:45. The other two people sat there for another 30 mins waiting on 2 waffles. By the time the whole table had gotten their food, my dish was cold and had been sitting in front of me over an hour. Finally ordered the desert to go because we had been there 3 hours. (Which were just tarts). 30-40 mins later, we had to ask the manager & servers 3 times if they were even coming out. I think their menu was too big for the event. Most places that do a pre fixe menu offer only 3 or 4 options for mains, they had like 12 options for mains. Again, I hate having to say anything bad about this place, but that totally made Mother's Day brunch a big bummer.
Excellent lunch, love this place. Everything is vegan.
Got the chipotle breakfast sandwich and was oooing and ahhhhing after my second chew. It was so delicious and flavorful. Yum!
Ambiance is nice, but service was extremely slow and food was mediocre

Food was mediocre , if you want to pay $16 for a smoky chipotle CHEESEBURGER WITHOUT a side. Oh, but the menu says "chips included", but “you only get them at dinner”, says the staff. So I paid $16 + tax for a plant based burger that I could have gotten from any other restaurant around here for $10.
l even have a picture attached with my review that shows the menu where it doesn't say anything about "only during dinner".
Oh, and don't go during lunch ... I waited 35 min for a to go sandwich (inside the restaurant)….
Parking is a PITA, as well, so be aware !
Such a disappointment.👎

Terrible Customer service. Food is good but I waited over 40 mins for a to go order while waiting with my family. When I asked what was taking so long, she just said, “Sorry, it’s really busy.” I watched others come order around the same time and get their order. Online it said they were out of pancakes, then when I asked them inside one person said no and another nice server look and said they did. When I asked to change waffle to pancake they said it was too late my order was finishing up which didn’t come out for another 6 mins. This is my second experience of bad customer service. It’s unfortunate.

My wife and I went here for the first time for Valentine's Day and it was better than I had imagined. The environment was warm and inviting and cozy but also elegant. Food was AMAZING. Service was also amazing, all the staff was friendly and personable. Can't say enough good things I'm so happy my wife found this place! Will be back many many times for sure :)
If you have taste , do not go here. The chicken was floppy, the bao buns were nasty, the salad was good, and the lava cake was disappointing disgusting. The cheese cake was not good as well. But the service was amazing thanks to our server!!
On uber eats the pricing is around 17 per sandwich. Simply not worth it. Tiny slivers of cheese, stingy tomatoes, a leaf or two of spinach. What is this, the recession? A 17 dollar caprese toast should feel like lunch, not a snack. It was mostly baguette. Mend your ungenerous ways. Or drop your uber prices. One of the two.

I’m not a vegetarian but I do like a lot of vegetarian dishes. The food was pretty good but I would rather have some uniquely vegetarian dishes than vegetarian substitutes for a regular American diet. That said, it was still pretty decent food. It is expensive and it’s hard for me to tip at a place where I order at a counter and then the food is dropped off to me and that’s about it. On the other hand, the staff are friendly and my order came out pretty fast. The atmosphere is nice; there is good light and it looks very clean. The plants aren’t real but still help to warm the atmosphere. There is nice outdoor seating. Parking is a bit of a problem. I think a lot of vegetarians would love this place but for the rest of us, don’t expect any real milk or egg options. Mostly, it was a positive experience and how you feel about eating here is probably a very personal preference.

If you like unseasoned food & servers that only drop off the food then completely disappear, this may be the place for you! Unfortunately, I like my food with a lil salt + seasoning. I am not really a fan of restaurants that have people order through a QR code. If you want a restaurant with attentive wait staff, this is not the place. The girl who brought my drink over did not even greet us, she just said “I have a drink” and set it down. Not a huge dealbreaker though. The main dealbreaker was the FOOD. My friend ordered the vegan chicken & waffles…. I tried it after she said she didn’t like it. The chicken was disgusting and did not look anything similar to the online menu. It’s not seasoned at all. Dame’s has better vegan chicken than this restaurant, and they arent even a plant based restaurant. On top of that, my truffle fries had no truffle oil or even salt. It was like they pulled the potatoes fresh out the oven, sprinkled some Parmesan over the top then called it a day. I also paid $5 for a drink that came in one of the tiniest glasses I’ve been given at a restaurant. All they did was put strawberry + lavender syrup into sparkling water, I’m not sure why they can’t give us a bigger serving. I rarely leave “bad” reviews but I genuinely had to say something about this.

I loved all of the food I ordered. I ate everything too fast though lol. And it was not cheap but mostly because I got a lot of food. The scone I got was really good, I think it was apple cinnamon or something. Updated from previous review on 2025-02-06
Outstanding management responsiveness! Didn’t have quite the best experience the second or third time coming here but we found out we actually came on a trainee day! Which explained a lot! I emailed the manager and received a response same day! Incredible kindness and care was shown. Made a world of difference! We will be trying again soon!
