We had a festive birthday brunch at Kipos. Everyone enjoyed their meals and there was enough for all of us to take leftovers to enjoy when we got home. Spencer did an excellent job recommending wines for us! I would highly recommend Kipos.

Food was wonderful, as usual. Tonight, service was stellar! Emily was a ray of sunshine! She was clearly working the room hard, but was effortless in providing expert guidance with the wine list and steered us through the menu. Well done!

The overall ambience was great. Being from Greece, we are a little pickier than most. The octopus was fantastic. The saganaki was ok. The fasolakia that came with the food were really good. The gyro meat was tasty but the pita bread was barely toasted and was cold. No greek cold coffee offered - it would have been nice if there was some Freddo cappuccino or frappe coffee during the summer months.

We have been long time Kipos customers but have not visited for several months, mainly due to parking congestion. In our visit yesterday, my wife added a chicken souvlaki skewer to her small horiatiki salad, and I had Olga's Baked Chicken. Despite having it numerous times over the years, always with chicken breast meat, this time the souvlaki was all dark meat, which my wife will not eat. Our server let us know that the restaurant very recently decided due to cost considerations, to go with dark meat chicken. Olga's Baked Chicken consists of a chicken leg and thigh, pork, fried eff topped with a greek cheese (not feta), and salad. Although tasty, the chicken spent too long in a lemon / olive oil marinade, which turned the meat into a mushy consistency. And the kitchen forgot to add the cheese to my egg. The restaurant did comp us for the souvlaki skewer and did provide cheese. I've never considered Kipos to be a "good value" restaurant, but there has been a definite slide in quality - both in what was served and how it was prepared.

Our party of four was initially seated inside, right by the musician playing wonderful Greek music. It was too loud for us old folks so we asked if we could eat outside. They accommodated us beautifully, and the service was excellent. We opted for a selection of small plates to share. Our server made several very helpful suggestions. We especially enjoyed the calamari, octopus, and braised lamb. We split the walnut cake with yogurt and berries; the perfect finish to a delicious meal.

This was our first time here. We were seated and drink orders taken right away. (FYI soda is served from cans, so no free refills) A big plus was the live music which started as soon as they opened, unlike most places that wait until later in the evening to start the live music. We started with their "version" of hummus, Fava (split pea) Santorini with pita. It was a little 'denser' than a hummus but smooth, spreadable and very good. My wife ordered the Chicken Savlouki, 4 huge chunks of flavored chicken on each of 2 skewers, served along with a peeled, halved, lightly "lemon -seasoned" potato, tsziki sauce, and a large portion of cucumber/tomato salad. All light and refreshing but extremely good! I chose the rotisserie pork. Several large but 1/4" thin slices of flavored pork, served with the lemon potatoes and a small spinach Greek salad ken even ate! The portions were large so we had plenty of leftovers. Kipos was a hidden gem and we plan to visit again.

Dined here many times before. Food was great as always, but the service was not up to par.

Great server last night! 2 of our group had very salty entrees. Otherwise, the food was great!

Extremely disappointing experience. We drove 30 minutes to try this restaurant, but after 1 hr 40 min, we NEVER received our entrées. We asked for a status after noticing tables that arrived over 30 min after us were already eating. Still, we were left waiting with no updates. After 1 hr 40 min, we finally asked for the check and left—hungry and frustrated. Not a single apology. No manager ever came over to address the situation. Absolutely unacceptable service.

Horrible dining experience. The server poured water all over our table with no apology. There were flies everywhere, even on our food. To make matters worse, the server mixed up our order and brought us food from the table next to us. Clearly our guy was just standing there waiting for us to figure things out by ourselves. After the meal, we requested to-go boxes and paper bags, but the server said he'd be right back and then just disappeared somewhere in the universe.

We made a reservation for a 630 Sunday evening dinner. Service was very slow. They were very busy and obviously understaffed. Food quality was good, but not great.

I’ve been to Kipos multiple times and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. However, tonight was much different. I picked Kipos to celebrate a job offer, but my experience tonight certainly soured the experience. Upon arrival, my partner and I were sat a very small table right next to the wall, with the three other tables surrounding us (with minimal distance between us) also having diners as well. This contributed to a very cramped feeling. When asked to be moved outside, we waited 15 minutes before being notified they were unable to accommodate us. While we were waiting, I noticed the candle on our table was empty and burnt out while the surrounding tables had lit candles. When the waitress first visited our table, she did not go over the specials or let us know which specials were out for the night. As such, when it came time to order, the special I’d had my eye on was out for the night. After we placed our order, a live musician began to play, and it turns out our table was right next to the speaker. Had we not already placed our orders, I would have left at this point. However, because we had I ended up asking for our orders to-go because the atmosphere and service were so abysmal. To top it all off, the lamb was quite overcooked (particularly compared to when I’ve had it in the past). Overall, I’m extremely displeased with my experience and it is questionable whether I will return. It was especially disappointing that this was supposed to be a celebratory experience that was stained by the service and atmosphere.
