The food is consistently delicious. Love the red curry with shrimp most, and the pan-fried dumplings.

Yum. Scallion pancakes. Steamed dumplings. And more. Everything was tasty but the Lamb cilantro dish was over the moon. - ‘ecuse the pun.Drunken noodles done better elsewhere but I have a food baby from eating some great food.

Pricing for portion size is as it should be. Flavor is excellent. Service is spot on. Will definitely be going back.

Been coming to this place for years. The food used to be good. The past few times not so good at all. Today the Singapore lomein noodle dish was simply gross. The noodles were mushy, the chicken texture was not pallable and the seasoning was sub-par. We will not return again. There are many other Asian restaurants to go to in Carrboro/Chapel Hill.

This is not how any low mien I’ve ever seen. It’s very nasty. As so the egg rolls and it’s hard to mess an egg roll up. Very very disappointed I went to this place about a year ago and the food was not bad. I definitely won’t be going back here.

Really good food.. the problem is the woman who runs the place is unpleasant. I also think she is unpleasant to those working with her. Every third time they get our order wrong but when it’s right it’s excellent. It’s also the most expensive Asian food in town. One of my friends stopped going there simply because of the attitude of the woman who seems to run the place. She told me once that she can’t find people to work.. wonder why?

This was a fantastic gem I had found while exploring the area with my partner. I had a typical entree, Hibachi Chicken with Miso soup. The food itself was amazing in flavor. I recommend considering bringing Ginger Sauce as well, as it is considered a staple with every hibachi order. We were the only patrons there for the longest time, so if you are looking somewhere that isn't crowded and promptly serves you, Moon Asian Bistro will get it done. Their parking situation is a little strange. In the front there are only about 5 spots, all of which were full, however no other customers were inside. I imagine those parked where employees or patrons of nearby businesses. There is ample parking in the back. Management: I'd recommend ensuring the business entrance/exit on that side is easily accessible, this way folks don't have to walk on grass to come inside. The menu prices have changed, but not by much. Don't let this out you off from the fantastic food. Management: I recommend prioritizing creating new menus, or at least create a digital menu that is up to date and can be easily changed with low cost. Overall, you will not regret your visit here.

Typical Chinese-American fare. However, much better than the walkup counter places I've been to in the area.Very tasty hot and sour soup.Staff is ways very accommodating with my special requests.I plan to eat there again.

I always heard negative things about this place. When I decided to check it out with some buds, I immediately knew why. The lo mein was decent, chicken was below mediocre, the dumplings were trash, and honestly everything tasted frozen. On the bright side, the service was impeccable (so was the secret recipe sauce).

My husband had been doing construction in our home for several hours, so I stopped by to get him some quick nourishment. I asked the woman in front what could be prepared quickly and she replied “everything is quick”. I went with my instinct to order soup and dumplings, figuring that they only required warming, rather than any assembling or cooking. But after waiting 20 minutes my “quick” order of two items was ready to go.The Miso Vegetable Soup was not cloudy, had no miso taste at all, and contained not one morsel of tofu. The vegetables in broth were pretty plentiful but none of it was particularly flavorful. The wrappers/dough of the steamed dumplings were just the right thickness as well as soft, as they should have been. But the generous filling of pork within was nothing more than a bland mass, unfortunately. The final disappointment was that the included fortune cookie was empty, with no fortune in it…a fitting end, I guess.Six mediocre dumplings and a quart of vegetable broth for just over $16? Not again, I’m afraid…and I had really hoped to like the place.

Food was subpar. Every dish tasted about the same. Flavor was bland and did not taste fresh. Overpriced for what we got. Staff barely spoke and very unfriendly. I would never return.

I came here twice in two days over vacation to Chapel Hill area from Texas because it was so bomb. Their Salmon Lover meal, and Yellowtail Nigiri were ???. I loved eating here, and you will too! Staff is excellent and friendly.

Not impressed…. Walked up to order a simple meat and vegetable dish with eggrolls. When I went to pay the price was about four dollars more than printed on the menu. Person at the counter said that they have a sign outside indicating you need to go to the website to see the updated prices…. Dish was taken immediately to be eaten about 2 min away. Broccoli was way overdone. Couldn’t tell it wasn’t frozen. Shrimp overdone as well. Portion size was good but sauce was bland and oversalted. Inside while waiting, customer came up and asked if they could be seen my waitress and took a menu from the counter.

$84.00 meal takeout tonight and they left out an entire $17 roll of the 2 rolls my wife ordered. We also had 3 separate miso soups but they gave what tasted like one watered into 2. This place is way too expensive for this kind of stuff. I normally just dispute restaurant stuff on my credit card since it's not worth arguing with folks who don't remember anything about your order.
