Great place when you need late night eats. Just FYI it is a food truck, not a free standing restaurant.

Worst chicken quesadilla I’ve ever had. Chicken tasted like it came out of a can. Never left a review somewhere before that’s how awful it was.

Best tacos I've had in North Carolina.. I think personally 99% of the tacos I've had in this state were terrible by the standards set from my home state... but these are by far the best I've had since arriving here 5 years ago. They use double tortilla which most places sell their tacos at like $3-6 and give you one tortilla with soggy either salty or flavorless meat. These guys are great especially for the price.

Tacos are packed with filling and double tortilla’d!!
I ordered asada, pollo, and barbacoa- I wish they were more juicy overall, but would definitely get asada again. I think pollo was bit more dry than the others.
Ample amounts of cilantro and onion provided. The grilled onions they add are so scrumptious.

Food was quite honestly not good quality. They tried to pass off salsa with a bit of avocado in it as "guacamole", and when I pointed out it was not guac, they said they didn't have enough good avocados. But they could have told me that when I ordered it or offered a refund or free soda or something. But no. Chicken burrito was not horrible, but probably one of that worst I've had in recent memory. Chicken ground into a fine mush instead of cubed, so no texture. Lettuce and tomato on the side which was totally useless. Burritos are usually pretty hard to screw up.Staff was friendly and service was fast enough, but due to the quality, I will not be returning.

Went here Saturday night and got quesa birria and 7 other tacos. I *love* Mexican food, particularly tacos. The chicharron tacos were pretty good, not great but satisfying enough. The birria was only decent, the meat was chewy. The pollo taco was mediocre, a little flavor but the meat was dry.The rest of the tacos (cabeza, asada, buche) were flavorless *and* dry.All around disappointing because I'd heard some good things from friends so decided to overlook the reviews that talked about blandness.Don't make the same mistake I did. Next time I want late night tacos, I'd eat Taco Bell over these. At least I wouldn't be spending over $30.

Food taste good, unfortunately they put every plate in the microwave before sending it out the window. Why.?? It just seems like they have it pre cooked and then they make the tacos and heat it up in the microwave. Never will go back. That’s a disgrace to serving food to

In a town with a good selection of taco trucks, this one takes the cake.
Chapel Hill nearly had me beat on the taco front until I found Taqueria El Niño. What looked like a restaurant turned out to be a stellar permanent food truck, complete with the vibrant beats of Oaxaca as a backdrop. It's the real deal—no cash grabs here, just genuine goodness. The sauces hit the mark, and the drink selection is wide and satisfying with hearty servings all around.
Venturing into the non-traditional taco territory, I went for the tripa and buche and was met with flavor that commands respect. This spot gets it right, daring to delight with delicious, off-the-beaten-path offerings.
The array of mix-and-match options from tacos to quesadillas, huaraches, and soups is truly impressive. Plus, the quaint patio setting and friendly service only add to the charm.
I almost gave up on tacos in Chapel Hill until I stumbled upon Taqueria El Niño. I was hoping to find a restaurant and came across an excellent taqueria truck, with Oaxacan music playing loudly, a promising sign.
Everything was fine. Decent sauces, a wide variety of drinks and generous portions.
They dare with non-traditional tacos such as tripe and buche; I tried both and I commend you for knowing what is delicious and having the courage to offer it.
The variety of options for mixing and matching tacos, quesadillas, huaraches and soups was impressive. Nice patio to sit on and friendly service.

The tongue tacos were BLAND and FLAVORLESS!! Worst tacos ever. I don’t think they put any seasoning whatsoever in them. Store bought tortillas that were probably microwaved warm. No salsa given for tacos. Quesabirrias were slightly better but barely. Would not waste my money here again. Honestly wish I could get the bland nasty flavor out of my mouth ?
