Ate at an Ethiopian restaurant in LA (that I won't name) the day before flying into Charlotte. Landed around dinner time and headed straight to Abugida to get some real authentic Ethiopian food and help erase the disappointment of the LA experience. If you appreciate the real deal Abugida is the place to go!

If I could give this place more than five stars I would, the food is THAT. GOOD. I was visiting from out of town and I regret that I will likely never eat here again, because I will be thinking about this food for a long time.

Highly recommend the Shiro. It doesn't come with the sampler dishes, but it's well worth it to order an extra side of it.

Even though it takes me about 40 minutes to get here from Fort Mill, it’s always worth the trip!
I picked up takeout today and enjoyed it with my family — the food was absolutely delicious, the service was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable.
There’s really nothing more I could ask for.
My uncle is Ethiopian, so I’ve had a lot of authentic Ethiopian food before, and Abugida is truly one of the best. Highly recommended!
