From the moment we stepped inside the restaurant for my birthday dinner last night, we knew our dinner at the Kindred’s new brainchild, Albertine, was going to be special - and we were not disappointed!
The space is breathtakingly beautiful - dark, luxurious fabrics, shiny marble surfaces, cozy round booths and gorgeous color combinations combine for an upscale, yet cozy vibe.
The staff are phenomenal. Our waitress, Abigail, couldn’t have done a better job explaining the menu items, from cocktails and wines to appetizers and entrees. We were seated about 15 minutes after our reservation time, so that was my only qualm, but the hostesses were apologetic and kind about it.
The menu had changed slightly from the one online (which I feel like is always a good sign for seasonal selections). We ordered two delicious cocktails and started off with the whipped feta - the soft, herb spiced pita it came with was a big winner. For our mains, we decided to split the hanger steak frites and the Venetian style asparagus. I don’t remember a steak I’ve had that I’ve enjoyed quite as much as that one - it was melt-in-your-mouth tender (drenched in a bordelaise that we were told takes the kitchen five days to make) and was served with crispy smashed potatoes and an addictive toum aioli sauce… we were both legitimately sad when it was over. As for the asparagus, I’ve never had anything like it before (in the BEST way) - it was lightly fried and served with crispy curry leaves over a creamy labneh and topped with a sweet pomegranate glaze… it was so playful and innovative, as was the baklava dessert served with homemade ice cream over Nutella. The perfect blend of Mediterranean and Southern.
Eating this meal was truly a joy. We can’t wait to go back!
Dietary restrictions: We don’t have any dietary restrictions, but they asked us about 5 times and I could tell they were extremely accommodating for dietary restrictions
Parking: They validate in the Duke Energy lot! They texted us a pin to the address of the lot, which was very considerate.

Had incredibly high hopes! We had a reservation in the lounge area, but it was so cold that we decided to sit at the bar because it was further from the door, which was extremely drafty. Our waitress, Aleah, was so kind and informative about the menu. However, the menu didn’t explain parts things that are very important to explain. For example, the kibbeh, Which you would think is cooked ground beef, was essentially a beef tartar with raw beef - yet all it had was an asterix next to it so you would have no idea It was a completely raw dish. The short rib was grilled Instead of braised, which is not common for that cut of meat, so while it looked delicious, it was like chewing gum. The waitress was so kind because she saw that we were not enjoying the two dishes, so said that she would take them off our bill which resulted in her getting yelled at by a manager at the front of the bar. He was not even trying to hide it. We took her very well as she was so kind and it was excellent service. However, the food was beyond disappointing. If you like Lebanese and Middle Eastern food, this will not live up to the hype.

Joshua made our first night at Albertine perfect! He was very knowledgeable of the menu and knew exactly what we wanted! The cocktail pairings he recommended were superb! We arrived as guests and left there as his friends after our dinner with Joshua!! Can't wait to go back! :)

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Albertine. From the moment we walked in the door, the staff was so welcoming and kind. Had drinks at the bar with a delightful bartender (cannot remember her name) who expertly navigated us through the cocktail and dinner menu, then were seated with Joshua who was an absolute delight all evening. He helped us with wine pairings and made our dining experience magical. We will definitely be back!

Ate in the “lounge” because there were no other tables available. Stunning atmosphere but the tables fit approximately 2 drinks and nothing else. Ordered the mezze platter - (nothing exciting) and the chicken liver toast (dry, essentially what tasted like dog food on toast). After that, we stopped due to how disappointing the food had been. We were given the babka for dessert as it was my birthday, which was incredible. I’d go back for the dessert and a drink but otherwise, I’d skip the expense.

We went here really excited to dine and celebrate my birthday. We can't say we left feeling the same.
Our reservation was 25 minutes late and we had to awkwardly stand around waiting. Once seated, it was at a tiny table right next to the door which blew cold air in every time it was opened (which was often).
Our server Elias was very nice, friendly, and helpful and went over the menu.
We chose the mezze platter, crab malfaldine pasta, and the grilled mahi.
Mezze platter was tasty and plentiful. From there, the food went downhill. The pasta and fish were so salty and contained so much raw onion that they weren't even edible. We had a couple bites and had it taken away. We don't like complaining. And we are people who season our food plenty, but this was inedible.
Service was slow, it was 2.5 hours from the time we arrived to when we left. Needless to say, we were underwhelmed. It definitely wasn't the birthday celebration dinner we expected.

This new spot in town is an absolute must-visit! The staff was warm, attentive, and made our night feel special from start to finish. The food was unforgettable: the whipped feta and zaalouk with homemade char-grilled bread were packed with flavor, and the quail was out of this world, unlike anything we've ever had. The hanger steak was cooked to perfection and full of rich, savory notes. Every dish was crafted with care, and the experience was exceptional. We’ll definitely be back!

Fortunately I haven’t been this disappointed in a restaurant in a long time. The desserts were incredible but everything else was lackluster and blended together. Out of the 7 dishes I tried , all of them used the same seasoning. The inside is pretty but the tables were tiny and if it’s cold outside you’ll definitely feel it anytime the door opens. Do not waste your money here by ordering food. Service was also slow, and we nearly ran out of time for their comped validated parking. Just come for the desserts after your dinner somewhere else, get some cute pictures, then grab your validated parking ticket and enjoy the rest of your evening.

I had a fantastic experience at this spot. Sat at the bar, and Luke, our bartender, was attentive and knowledgeable. The food was excellent, each dish presented beautifully. Recommend the asparagus and the fried potatoes, the hummus and green/red schug. They handled my dairy allergy with care, which is really rare to find in Charlotte. I’d highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a solid dining experience with great service and attention to dietary needs.

Incredible! Our favorites were the Bourbon Renewal, lamb appetizer, gamebird pasta, fried potatoes, roasted carrots, and milkbread babka dessert. Interior design is amazing.

This is such a great addition to charlotte’s food scene! We went a few days ago with a group of 6 and a baby, everyone was so kind and the food and service was excellent. Not to mention, great decor and good chairs.
