AMAZING hospitality and knowledge!!

I recently celebrated my 36th birthday at Angeline, and I can confidently say it was one of the most extraordinary dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make the evening unforgettable. The attention to detail and the warmth of the service were impeccable. Every team member—from the host to our exceptional server, Edgar—made me feel genuinely celebrated. There were thoughtful touches throughout the evening that made it so much more than just a dinner. Whether it was the personalized birthday greeting card, the charming beautifully dim-lit aesthetic, or the warm smiles and well-wishes from the staff, each moment added to the magic of the night. The food, of course, was outstanding. Every dish was crafted with care and flavor, perfectly complemented by a great champagne selection. But what truly set Angeline apart was the heart behind the service. It’s rare to find a place where hospitality feels so genuine and intentional.Thank you, Edgar and Angeline, for turning my birthday into a cherished memory. Your team created something truly special, and I’ll be talking about it for years to come.

As I’m approaching a dozen times dining here since Albertine opened last year and each time gets better than the last. The food incredible, wine selection amazing, but the service is without a doubt what sets this place apart. Easily the best restaurant in Charlotte. Each member of the team is outstanding, Abigail, Cole, Sarah will take great care of you. But huge shoutout to Mason, Danny, and Cam who will make each visit special and unique, topped off with the perfect wine pairings. The whole team at Albertine has set an unmatched standard for service, dining, and atmosphere!

This was my first time at Albertine, and overall I had a good experience—but not a great one. The decor inside is beautiful; the space has a really charming, elevated feel that sets the tone when you walk in. It’s definitely a great spot for drinks and a few small bites, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a full meal.

The mezze platter is a must. I especially loved the smoked fish with cucumber and pita—it was fresh and flavorful. The tuna crudo was also a standout. Surprisingly, my favorite dish of the night was the chicken. It was juicy, tender, and cooked perfectly, which I honestly wasn’t expecting. And if you’re staying for dessert, I’d recommend the cheesecake.

Now for what I wouldn’t recommend… the chicken liver toast was actually inedible. I had to get the taste out of my mouth immediately—it was that bad. The razor clams and mahi mahi were both underwhelming, and the other desserts we tried just didn’t hit the mark.

As for the service, everyone was super friendly, but unfortunately very inattentive. I found myself stacking my own plates because they sat there for so long. One thing that really bothered me: when the staff was wiping down tables, they were brushing crumbs directly onto the floor. You can even see it in my last photo—if you look around, the floor is covered in crumbs. It definitely took away from the overall atmosphere.

In short, Albertine is a beautiful space and a nice spot for cocktails and light bites, but if you’re looking for a full meal and seamless service, I’d set your expectations accordingly.

We came here with high expectations, especially since this restaurant was recently ranked #3 on Axios' list of best restaurants in Charlotte. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype, and for a special occasion like my 40th birthday, it was a real letdown.

We started with the tuna crudo, which sounded amazing on paper. But the puffed freekeh was extremely crunchy--almost jarringly so. I've never had freekeh before, so maybe that's how it's supposed to be, but in this case, it completely threw off the dish.

The NC oysters were very small and just okay. Nothing memorable.

From the Meze section:

- Whipped feta - Very good.
- Spicy pickled okra - Also very good, though one piece was tough and inedible.
- Stuffed dates - Excellent. Probably the best thing we had all night.

The grilled little gems appetizer was a standout. We want to try making it at home.

For mains, we had the cordero asado and halibut with labneh smashed potatoes on the side. These were decent, but again, something felt slightly off with each dish, like they were trying too hard to be inventive at the expense of balance.

For dessert, we had the babka with ice cream, and the ice cream was a real miss. A simple, high-quality vanilla would've made a world of difference. That kind of summed up the whole meal: ambitious, but lacking in execution.

The still water tasted bad, worst than most restaurants. Also, not a fan of dishes being served in threes when there are two people dining, but they are not the only restaurant that does that.

The ambiance was great and the staff was extremely nice and attentive. Our waiter seemed to get preoccupied a lot and other folks needed to step in to help him out. He took forever getting us our check. Waited around an extra 15 mins for him.

In hindsight, we should've gone somewhere more consistent like Steak 48, Capitol Grille, or Restaurant Constance. This place might be better suited for adventurous nights when you're in the mood to try something new, but not for a milestone celebration where a bad experience can ruin it.

This place is phenomenal. From the host to the bussers everyone was great. Our server Jake was a pleasure. Khad and Mason made sure to check on us throughout our meal to make sure everything was perfect. If you eat here you must try the stuffed dates and the green shug. I am the definition of a picky eater and I didn't know about coming here just by looking at the menu, but I ate everything on my plate. Honestly one of the best meals of my life. If you're on the fence about eating here, take the chance and do it, you won't regret it.

Beginning to end, our experience was amazing. Cole was an incredible and thoughtful server. Every staff member congratulated us on our wedding anniversary at some point. The vibe? It’s beautiful. Romantic. Special. And the food is phenomenal. The right combination of spicy, savory, and sweet. We loved the tomato eggplant dip, the quail, and our favorite, the pasta with game bird. For dessert, I am not even a huge fan of pistachio, and the gelato was incredible. The first bite was weird because of the olive oil, but then I couldn’t stop eating it and then didn’t want to stop. At the end, I thought they might do a free dessert or something for our anniversary, but I was pleasantly surprised when Cole brought out an instant film camera and took a picture of us for our anniversary and gave it to us with a hand-written, personalized card based on our conversation that night. Honestly, better than a free dessert. We loved this place, and we will be back. It’s perfect for special occasions.

Our party of four went in for a birthday dinner on a Monday night, we left all amazed by the service and quality of this establishment.
Every dish was INCREDIBLE!

Our server Mickey was wonderful and went above and beyond our expectations.

Make sure to get the raspberry Cardamom sorbet for dessert, it blew my mind.

We will absolutely be coming back to experience another lovely evening here.

Thank you to the Albertine team for a spectacular night!

This is my favorite restaurant in Charlotte thus far. Everything about it, both the food & ambience especially are EXCELLENT. I love a twist to traditional cuisine & dishes and this absolutely place brings it. Reminds me of my favorite Mediterranean place back in Austin, similar vibes. Will definitely be coming back consistently. Anyone who gives this a negative review doesn’t know good food in my humble opinion.

DNICE!!!! That’s all. He was absolutely amazing!!! The service was impeccable! If I could have him as my server for ever dinner here on out I would!

Fantastic experience even though we entered with very high expectations. Only suggestion, when entering from the south parking deck, there isn’t adequate locational signage to help you easily find the restaurant within the Duke Energy building.

No wow effect for food. Beautiful modern design, reservations needed. Beautiful, well stacked bathrooms. Service person was constantly around us, asking for our impressions. I was invited for a birthday dinner and I was looking forward to talk to my daughter, however I was constantly interrupted by server asking for our dining experience. Kind of annoying. My main dish came too salty, and was not included in the final bill. General manager a great guy. Overall good experience, however I won’t come back. I’ve liked Kindred and Halo Sailor better.
