When I first arrived, I was warmly greeted by almost everyone working at the counter. I asked about gluten-free options, and they not only walked me through what was available but also offered a few off-menu items to try. I ended up having the tacos and if they ever offer you something that’s not on the menu, say yes. There’s clearly a very talented chef in the back.
The tacos were delicious, and the staff was incredibly attentive throughout my visit. Everyone seemed respectful, thoughtful, and great at maintaining boundaries, which made the atmosphere feel comfortable and welcoming. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot if you’re looking for a place to work, do crafts, or just enjoy good food in a relaxed, positive environment.

Hands down the best coffee shop in all of CLT. Not only is the coffee incredible, but the food and the service are top notch too. TK is genuinely one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. Please don't miss out on Backyard Brew!

First time here and I loved it. The shop is literally a house, so it feels really homey, like going to a friend’s place for coffee. You order on the left side and can go inside after. Seating is limited but that’s part of the charm.
The coffee was amazing and the banana bread muffin was so good, you could actually taste chunks of banana. The staff were friendly, positive, and genuinely welcoming. I was also impressed that they were open during the snow storm, it honestly felt like a movie moment and a little dream of mine came true because of it.
I’d definitely recommend this place to coffee lovers. I went with a friend who’s from Nicaragua and grew up around great coffee, and she loved it too. I’ll definitely be back for a cappuccino.

The breakfast burrito was quite bad I wouldn’t recommend it. One of our lattes was solid but the chai latte was surprisingly bad, especially considering the price. The employees seemed nice so I hate to bash the place but there are just so many other coffee places in the area that give you more for your dollar.

Serving some of the best lattes in the city. Friendly staff, unique drink options, quick service.
One of my favorite spots to grab breakfast on the way to work. They are really friendly, the breakfast burrito and Jordanian chai are my favorite. And they offer first responder discounts

Great experience, barista Ryan was so engaging and helpful in my order
It sounds like a lovely coffee shop, but I had a hard time finding parking. There didn’t seem to be much space available behind the café.
Nice spot!

The seasonal flavored lattes are amazing. Best part is they are not sweet or sugary, unless you mention to make it sweet. It’s flavorful with their house made syrups. Great ambience as well. So chill and great coffee.
