I had the KFC & OG bao. They were both excellent. The buns were pillowy and the fillings were delicious. There were many enticing options at Optimist Hall but Bao & Broth just kept pulling me back. The service was spot on, I received a txt as soon as it was ready. The cashier and expediter was friendly. I will definitely return and try the other options.

Bao buns were excellent. Spicy pork ramen was so incredibly bland, I was literally shocked. I had to pay 75 cents for a side of chili paste to add the spice (which I wouldn't have minded if it had worked) and it was still bland. Five packets of salt later- still bland.

Vegan miso was amazing!!!! It's always my go to when coming here and the crispy tofu is awesome! This time I got it with kimchi on the side and it was a great addition. Not a long wait at all!

Taste: 3.5Creativity/Authenticity: 4Atmosphere: 3.5Service: 3.5Bang for your buck: 3.5Got the ramen and the sloppy joe bao. Ramen was solid; good broth, noodles were different but still good, soy egg was however cold inside but easily heated up in the broth. The bao was delicious and the toppings went well surprisingly well with the broth from the ramen also! But why 3 star, honestly CUSTOMER SERVICE! Is the most important thing. When it was time to pick up my order, you get a text, as I approached the counter instead of handing off my Food and normal thank you greeting for trying our food I got a bag tossed at me as the workers continued to talk to each other didn't even look me in the eye nothing,Completely ignored?! Hmm thanks? Not very welcoming. Overall food is good but if your service is like that I'll def try the other spot

Decided to go to OH with my friend, and we had such a hard time trying to figure out what to eat! There were so many options, but we decided on bao and broth, and I'm so happy we did! We both got the Tonkotsu ramen bowls and really enjoyed the rich, deliciously flavored broth! We also ordered the bao bun sampler and got the pork belly and the kfc bao buns!Tonkotsu ramen 9/10 - We both enjoyed the delicious broth, but we had to add the broth to the ramen. If you didn't add enough broth, it was a bit bland, we both agreed that had the noodles been sitting in the broth, the flavor would have been richer. But overall, it is delicious! Pork belly bao bun 10/10 - The pork belly was tender, the bun was bouncy soft and chewy, the slaw/veggies that were added were fresh and crisp. Just absolutely Heavenly! We also both got the lychee tea....... Listen to me and listen to me well! That dam tea was delicious, we laughed at the fact that we were sipping slowly because we wanted to savor that tea to the last drop! It was absolutely delectable. I wish they had free refills on it! The cashier was friendly and super patient with us when we were ordering! We were both unable to finish our ramen and had a good serving to take home for dinner! Give them a go, you won't be disappointed!

I've been to this vendor multiple times throughout my visits to Optimist and they never fail. I always receive my order in a timely manner and the cashier has always been friendly. I try to change what I get each time I go but the Vegan Miso always gets me. I'm not a huge fan of jackfruit, so I took a risk with this bao bun; It wasn't for me but my partner who typically does like jackfruit said it was good and finished it, haha. I added chili paste to my ramen for spice but without it, it's still packed with flavor. *Not pictured is the GYU Bun we ordered which they describe as a "Japanese Sloppy Joe" ; my partner gave it 10/10. For anyone that hasn't been to Optimist, it's a food hall with a LOTTTT of options. Initially it can be overwhelming but essentially it's a big loop inside and you'll find something that catches your eye. The ambiance is fun and inviting. They have some shops that are cool to check out while you're waiting for your food to be ready! (90min free parking)

Buns are light and fluffy. The sriracha sauce is a little spicy on some of the sandwiches. The lychee tea is refreshing and not too sweet. The 3 buns we ordered were the OG, the KFC, and the Gyu. The sloppy joe had the biggest kick of spicy. Our least favorite was the chicken KFC one.

Tried their bao bun sampler (3 for $13) and got all 3 vegetarian ones. Jackfruit BBQ, falafel with tzatziki, and Thai tofu with slaw. I loved that the flavors were unique, and they were all delicious! A great vegetarian option (but I recommend these for everyone, not just vegetarians)

Pretty good Bao option at the food hall. The 3 bun special is pretty filling and the service was quick.

Fried chicken and pork belly Bao were top notch. Then bringing them to the brewery just outside the hall, even better.

These weren’t appetizing at all, long wait for a hard flavorless boa . The ramen was tasteless and bland, I wouldn’t recommend this place for a foodie who know good boa. This just wasn’t it for me or my friends. Service was a bit slow but customer service was Amazing.

Love a place that has vegan options. I got the 3 buns combo- tofu, jackfruit, falafel. Food is always fresh and hot. And the bun is delicious!!

I grabbed the three combo of bao buns from Bao and Broth at Optimist Hall & was happy with this simple yet filling lunch option! Here are the buns I got:Falafel Bun - a big fan of this bun, very flavorful, plus I'm a huge fan of falafel! The taziki spread in this paired perfectly. Fried Chicken Bun - the chicken was oddly chewy so I wasn't a huge fan but the chipotle mayo on top was good. Chicken Salad Bun - lots of toppings and veggies packed in this bun, good flavor!Overall I was happy with the Bao buns but I definitely would be open to trying some of the other bun options & toppings! The spot also has great ramen bowls (not pictured), a cute addition to Optimist Hall!

Our first time there and we will definitely be back! The vegan bao buns are amazing! The buns are so soft, the tofu is seasoned amazingly, and the crispy pickled vegetables set it off perfectly. The vegan ramen is also delicious. The onion broth makes the best ramen I've ever tasted!
