I attended a catered workshop last night. I expected sandwiches and wraps. I wasn’t halfway to the room when I smelled an amazing aroma. I was instantly jealous, then elated as I discovered that this treasure trail for the senses was coming from my event!! The chicken and vegetarian gumbos were the best I’ve had, EVER! I got my veggies via the side salad with the tastiest tomatoes. They managed to make lettuce taste good! Don’t wait, stop by for a meal or to place your catering order today. You won’t regret it!
This is not etouffee it was more like shrimp in chicken gravy no rice just chicken gravy and a ton of spring onions and a few shrimp

I'm from ATL & it's been hard to find good food in CLT .. BUT this place is 10/10 😩 the wings?? YES SIR!!!!!!! My new fav go to !!!
Me and my family tried this spot for the first time yesterday Saturday October 23,2024.
Of course we had our stomach set Gator bites but they were all out and didn't know when they would have them again.
Come to think of it half of the menu was sold out, I thought to myself that could be a good thing. NOPE
We decided to try the seafood gumbo and the jambalaya egg rolls.
Sadly to say the seafood gumbo was a FAIL!!
It was so salty that even when I poured a great amount of bottle water in it we still could not bare the taste. I have had plenty of gumbo even in New Orleans and I'm telling you that ain't it.
However the jambalaya egg rolls were delicious and the sauce excellent.
I will like to try them again but it's No Go for the Gumbo.

The food here was incredible! I tried the Troutman Po’boy, white chocolate bread pudding, and jambalaya eggrolls—every bite was absolutely delicious. The service was just as amazing. I can’t wait to visit again!

I visited this restaurant for the first time and everything was cooked to perfection. I ordered gumbo and gator bites. The gumbo was flavorful and the gator bites were on point. The service was fast and the atmosphere was clean and cozy. I will definitely be back to try more on the menu, more sooner than later!

The picture truly does not do it justice. This sandwich was sooooo delicious. I recommend getting the remoulade sauce on the side to go with the sandwich. The Strango was outstanding and next time I'll order like 3 of them

I had such high hopes for this place. The service was great and we were welcomed upon walking in. We got the fish po-boy(3/10). It was soggy, lacked flavor overall and was mostly bread. We also ordered the crawfish egg rolls (0/10) and they were a huge let down. It was mainly cabbage, not enough filling and the egg roll overall was soggy. The boudins balls (5/10)were okay. The honey lemon pepper and barbolo wings (5/10) were also just okay. The red beans and rice(3/10) were okay just not what we were expecting. The potato salad(0/10) was the biggest let down for us. In our opinion, it was not good at all and bad to be thrown away. We also got the peanut butter praline(9/10) which is the best thing we had. Lastly, the strango (7/10)was good if you like super sweet drinks. We mixed it with champagne to tone it down. We would have also tried the bread pudding and seafood gumbo but they were out. We visit NOLA a lot and were hoping to have a gem close by that is reminiscent of NOLA. I’m hoping it was just a bad day because the reviews were so good and we were expecting great things.

Had to try it out after seeing a tik tok about the eggrolls..They close a bit early but food was good!! loved the turkey and collard green egg rolls but they were a bit salty, luckily the fruity sauce that comes alongside tones it down a bit. I was hesitant about it at first but it pairs well. i also had the ya-ka-mein and it was tasty.

I tried the Seafood Gumbo and Gator Tails. The food was fantastic and that doesn't even take into account the great prices. Great, friendly service too.
What a find!

This new NOLA cajun restaurant in Charlotte is fire! Not often does food give me goosebumps, but this little restaurant sure did! Gator bites are fantastic, the red beans and rice are the perfect ratio and taste amazing! The gumbo is just like being back home, and the Strango is a perfect balance. Can't wait to come back next time to try the po-boys!
Food amazing!!! They’re still working on the aesthetics of the place for customers desiring to dine-in but for take out it’s perfect!
