Bonchon Pineville

My husband and I were really excited to dine in at Bonchon, as I had it in another state and loved it.

We walked in and were told to immediately sit at a booth, and then waited for 15 minutes with no one coming over to greet us, take our drink order, or check on us.

We made eye contact with multiple servers and even tried to flag one down, and never got anyone over.

Regardless of how good the food appears to be, the service is terrible. And it sounded like they were having difficulty with takeout orders too.

We will not be back and would not recommend anyone to this place.

Are they suppose to take you to your table? Or you pick your own table, the old Asian lady asked us how many in our party, pointed and said “last booth” last what? Both end booths had people, there were three empty booths. So we just picked one. They forgot to bring us a high chair had to remind 2x. Really just bad customer service compared to Bonchon in downtown Greensboro and Charlotte. The only fast thing was how fast they bring you the check. Everything else was slow, I didn’t even get a refill on my drink.

I highly recommend this spot for anyone seeking authentic Korean cuisine. The food was absolutely delicious and thoroughly exceeded our expectations. The Korean BBQ wings were the perfect combination of texture and impeccable flavor, and I highly recommend that dish for anyone who may be uncertain on what to order on their first outing.

The first time I ever ordered wings it was a little chewy with a weird fatty layer under the breading but I loved the spicy sauce so yesterday when I ordered I specifically asked to make them extra crispy and they were literally soggier and chewier than the first time. Won’t ever order again.

Splendid - This restaurant is so underrated. Hee Jin was amazing. The food was extraordinary and you will not regret eating here. Love it every single time. Bulgogi fries and a small order of wings (Korean BBQ sauce) and side of rice will leave you satisfied.

My bf and i went to this spot on a whim just to try something new (we were headed to the Colombian spot next door) and we loved it. We recently made the drive to go again bc it was that damn good 😮‍💨

I really give five stars, but It’s a great location, the people are really friendly and the food is nothing I’ve ever had before. I recommend everybody try the kimchi rice bowl, absolutely delicious.

The fried chicken was good but the pieces were a little small. There are other better options for Korean BBQ. This place is a sit shan restaurant where other spots are mainly take away.

Great Korean fried chicken and some of the best dumplings ever. Thai green milk tea was wonderful and several in a cute cup. Def a 5 star lunch!!!
