The Huba found this restaurant and we stopped by on a Friday evening. It wasn’t too busy and we were promptly seated. The restaurant has a parking lot but we found street parking.

We were surprised to find that it was a hookah lounge and a couple were smoking it. The smell wasn’t too overpowering.

We ordered the suya platter and lamp chop with respective sides. Honestly, we were sure if it was an African restaurant, we thought it was going to be but don’t know.

Didn’t have to wait long for our food. The lamb chop was really good. Jollof rice was just okay. The suya platter was good as well.

There was a Dj that started to play by the time we left around 9:30pm.

Overall, lovely experience. Our waiter was good and checked in several times.

I took out a star because we were given plastic utensils for a seat down menu? That’s a first. We didn’t order a take out so having to use a plastic ware with a plate versus paper plates was a bit irritating.

The vibes were definitely there. And Bri was the absolute best! Definitely recommend giving this place a try and order the jerk wings.

Heavy Vibes!!! Very clean, dope staff and great food! At night it turns up but not ratchet at all. The owner is awesome and trained his staff well. Restrooms are clean and never smell like a fart. They are winning!

Sierra was so sweet, very hospitable, very helpful with the specials. Only thing was the chairs were not made for plus size women (so we got a booth, it was great) and even though it was only 10pm the music was WAY too loud. My friends and I couldnt even talk while we ate. Food was great tho! Overall great experience as it was my first time going inside. Definitely will be back because of the service!!!!

I visited this spot once and was super impressed, but wanted to try again just to double check. OH MY HEAVENS!!! The food was so delicious that my friend who doesn't even eat in public was tasting everything. The drinks were so perfectly crafted and the hooka was flavored so well. The DJ that was spinning did his thang too. Slim was out server and she was on point with everything. 4 people, 5 different plates, 4 different drinks twice refilled) and a hooka, we paid $300. That bill is always crazy in these times, but was totally expecting with the service we received.
Definitely on my list of best hangout spots.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but the service I received during my first visit to this location was truly exceptional. I came to celebrate my birthday, and our server—“Slim,” I believe—went above and beyond to make the night special. She was phenomenal: incredibly attentive, friendly, and made me feel like a star on my day.
The hookah was one of the best I’ve ever had, and thanks to Slim’s recommendation, I tried the red snapper—it was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere inside is beautiful, and they also have a cozy patio that's perfect for dining outdoors.

This spot is a hidden gem in Charlotte. I seriously can’t recommend it enough!

Huge thank you to Slim for turning my night around , my birthday plans were ruined at first but Capitaine saved the day ! Love it!

Service was not good. Went to support the DJ and a black own business. Nice vibe for what it is. Ordered my food and it came out wrong. Told the waitress about it and she notified the manager. Manager boxed it up, took it to the office, never coming over to acknowledge the situation. However, that’s not the kicker. The waitress tells the cook (who is back at the table with his friends) he laughs and instead of redoing my order he sits there another 15 mins and did not get up until I spoke to the waitress about it. Once he got up he started cleaning the kitchen and washing dishes, neglecting my order that was wrong. I canceled and left. Will not be back, do not recommend.

The chef made an amazing meal. The Tropical Platter was a perfect blend of fruit, sauces and flavor that left me wanting to order a second. My bartender was social, kind and mixed amazing drinks. They hit the spot to refresh after riding over 600 miles in the extreme heat and she was always presenting a welcoming smile that mixed with the atmosphere. A beauty all around.

Garbage… I went on the recommendation of a page I support on Instagram and from the busted furniture, dirty tables, food and lack of customer service this place is 0-10. I can’t even explain my experience without highlighting the security/trash guy coming to sit at my table when the whole restaurant was empty except for a table of drunk karaoke goers. As he was attempting to explain to me why his ex left him I asked for the check and was surprised to be charged for a drink I attempted to send back. Let alone the snapper, which is why I initially went, being old, soaked in oil and left on their dirty table.
Never again!!!! Manager, you owe me $50

Decided to meet a friend here after church for brunch which was around 1 pm. The location is in a decent place However, parking Could be better (street parking ) They do have parking in front of the building, but it was blocked off at the time . The place Has a beautiful aesthetic we ended up sitting at the bar, but it is recommended that you make reservations. I got two shots Which was $17 apiece , A fire in the hole (amazing ) $15 , Lamb chops with jollof rice and side of eggs and me and my friends split a $30 hookah. I spent $97 they do add on 18% gratuity Which made my total $122, but that can be managed if you scan your receipt and pay online. The service was wonderful. The cook was amazing. Definitely recommend for a nice date night or girls outing But do not come if you want to budget this ain’t that 😂
