City has some of the best Pork BBQ anywhere. They do a great job in every location I've visited!

Absolutely fantastic food and even better service. Taylor's takeover as GM blasted City Barbecue into the stratosphere. I love service that feels more like a casual meet with a new friend, rather than a clinical transaction; and Emily and Alex go above and beyond in this regard every time. I would do unholy things for a Smokehouse Salad with brisket, hardboiled egg tossed in, smothered in the house Chipotle Ranch and Brushfire sauce. Keep on rocking.
Really expensive barbecue, but really good. Nice atmosphere & great customer service. Would go again.

I had an amazing experience at City Barbecue today! From the moment I walked in, the service was top-notch—General Manager Taylor is a rockstar, and his team is the epitome of hospitality and efficiency. They run a tight ship and make you feel genuinely welcome.
The food was absolutely delicious—flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. You can tell this team takes pride in what they do.

Wonderful customer service, Taylor was great from initial contact and during the whole experience. Delivered my order of 240 slices of beef brisket (during a hail storm). Perfectly prepared and so delicious. Looking forward to working with City BBQ again.

Went to pick up my online order and was unable to redeem my 5 dollar credit for filling out the survey. Was told that I needed to redeem first before paying but there is no option to redeem before paying online. I normally would have got an additional side with the 5 dollar credit which equals 5 dollars but was not allowed to. Very disappointed

First visit today, while in town for Metallica concert last night....and City Barbeque did not disappoint. Being from the area, but living in in Eastern NC, my love for Eastern Carolina BBq is strong, but i have a deep love for great smoked meats.
The pulled pork was good, tender and juicy....but their vinegar based sauce really enhances the quality. They also have several of their own bbq sauces from regular, mild, sweet, and mustard based.
Their ribs were phenomenally moist and tender, and came off the bones with ease. The pulled chicken was extrmely delicious and flavorful. I also had the pork belly burnt ends. They were juicy and tender, with a nice crust on the outside, like dropped in the fryer to crisp up. And the brisket, same description as the ribs! Even as it sat on my tray while devouring my other foods, it stayed juicy and tender...you could gently cut it with a fork.
I went back in the evening to get some ribs to take back to the hotel for dinner, and they were sold out. The reason is self explanatory!
Bottom line, if you're in the area, please don't pass them up. I wish I had taken photos to post.
****I was here 2 weeks ago, when in town for Metallica. Back today, 6/21, since in town for Real Madrid soccer match tomorrow at BoA Stadium. This time, made sure to take a couple of pictures to add!
