Santa Cruz Mexican Grill

The food here was truly amazing. We are particular about the quality of food and this was very surprising in all the best ways! It was so good that we came back the next day for a second meal. Cheilen was our waitress and she was so kind and helpful and attentive. And Christian was our waiter the first time and he was equally kind and efficient. A lovely meal. Not too salty and kept you feeling good all day. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious meal!

Amazing Experience here. The GM Teo was really welcoming and made sure our big party of 10 got the best service possible. Our server Anahill was really amazing especially considering how big our party was. Food was amazing. Way better under new management!

We really enjoyed our lunch at Santa Cruz. I had the Chingon Tacos - described as “next-level,” and they definitely were. Some of the best tacos I have ever had. My lunch companion had the Burrito California, and she reported it as excellent as well. If you are interested in something other than “typical” Mexican restaurant entrees, Santa Cruz has a very eclectic menu.

Ana was our server, and she did a great job. The manager also made a point to visit with us to make sure we were satisfied.

All in all, a very pleasant experience, and we will be back the next time we are in Charlotte.

We went here for the first and last time. Food was ok; service was the worst we have had anywhere in the Charlotte area. The restaurant was not busy, only had people at 6 tables and about 3 servers (plus a manager).

We could not get our waiter's attention after he gave us our food. We received no refills during our time there despite empty cups on the table for most of our meal. Manager did not appear to care either as he walked by our table and did not do anything to help. We waited 15 minutes after we finished eating before the waiter came by, we had to ask for the check and beg for a half filled Togo cup. We waited another 5 minutes before we got the check.

We normally leave a good tip (more for really good service), We did not even consider that this time, we generously left about 1/2 of what we normally do. We spoke to the manager on the way out and confirmed that he did not care about service either.

We will not be going back.

Great dinner experience! There were four of us and we were seated right away. Our server Ana was gracious and very quickly brought our drinks. I had a steak and shrimp dish- the steak was good but the shrimp were amazing. Next time I’ll try a seafood dish. Hubby had the tacos chingon with chicken- very nicely spicy! Kids had quesabirria and a Santa Cruz burrito- both very happy with their selections. Portions are generous. Ana kept our drinks filled and Teo, the manager checked in on us. Will definitely return when back in Charlotte!
