Decent experience overall. We enjoyed the setting and the food. Our server was wonderful however we did place an order for app items and complimentary bread. We did not receive those items until after our entree were in front of us almost an HOUR later. We reminded our server of these items a few times. Slightly disappointed in that. The food was great.
Deans has never disappointed me. The foods, drinks, atmosphere are great for any occasion. The staff is top tier.
I was disappointed with the table they assigned. The table was right in the bar, and adjacent to a service door, unappealing and noisy. I traveled from Houston for a business meeting in Charlotte and had booked a month in advance. It was difficult to have effective conversation. Otherwise, the food and service were both top notch.
Food, service and staff were incredible! Mario our server was very informative, and amazing.
We had a reservation, yet bar patrons got seats and ordered before us. Might want to make bar tables reserved when the restaurant gets busy....
Excellent food, excellent service. Our server was Jeff. Very kind, knowledgeable and easy going. Lovely dinner. Worth the money
We live in Charlotte and had wanted to try Dean's for a while. Two of us gave them a try – for brunch – on a Sunday that we were going to the football game. Our service was commendable considering how busy the place was. Filled to capacity and I can imagine it is tough to get “extra” staff to work on Sunday mornings. Everyone, and I do mean everyone, we with whom we interacted was pleasant and proficient. We both ordered the “Brush Creek Ranch Brunch Burger”. Both burgers were prepared PERFECTLY and arrived at our table just as we had requested. The Wagya melted in the mouth! Need a bib with that burger - so juicy and tasty. And, kudos to the kitchen because it is rare – pun intended – that I get beef cooked as little as I like mine cooked. Heat can be optional, really. The other burger was a perfect medium rare in temp. Their shoestring fries were a delicious choice. I could smell the French Roast coffee when I entered the dining room and it did not disappoint. That is some good coffee. If I wanted to find a negative – and, I only mention this as a warning, if necessary – was the “slow to be seated” situation. We arrived exactly at the time of our reservation but were about 15 minutes later than that time to be seated. It was not our first game day meal, so, I had added some extra time when I made the reservation to accommodate the possibility of delay. We were fine.
For being a steakhouse, their steaks were very mediocre and very inconsistent. Three of us ordered the NY strip, two cooked medium and one medium rare. Neither of those came out the way it was requested, one came out blue, nearly moo-ing really. The other came out medium well and one extremely dry and overcooked. The sides were great and the appetizers fine but truly disappointed by the steaks.
Not a great experience. Our server Shawn was awful. *Took forever to even start with water *Crudo appetizer returned. Fishy *No one ever checked on how our food was. *Shawn never refilled my husbands tea. Sat empty all night. *Wanted another lemon drop. No Shawn. Never came by *No one cleared any of our plates. *Had to ask another server for our check. Once again no Shawn. The spicy shrimp dish was good. Branzino just ok. Won't be returning. Unbelievable how bad the service is.
Delicious food and great atmosphere. Service was friendly, but the wait time for food after ordering was quite long.

From the time you walk in the door you are greeted ....The service and food were excellent
server Jason was excellent, as well as all others involved in serving the food. Not inexpensive, but food was also great.
Most of the food was delicious. There were some browned lettuce pieces in our salad, which was disappointing.
Cassidy, our server, was excellent.
There was a table of very loud men talking about politics next to us, which was disruptive to a nice evening. It gets quite loud in the dining room.
Tyler was great. He was very responsive to our needs. He was great and the food was amazing
Tyler was a great waiter. Outstanding service.
