Damera Ethiopian-Eritrean Entertainment, Food and Lounge

If you want to eat delicious traditional Ethiopian food go to Ethiopian resturant. This place isn't as good as many Ethiopian Restaurants. Food taste and presentation lacks authenticity. The owners are Eritreans. I noticed that the Excellent Ethiopian restaurants are operated by Ethiopians. Something to notice and look out for is the name of Ethiopian resturants do not bare the name "Eritrea" by any means. A resturant with a name "Eritrean and Ethiopian" is 100% Eritrean and not Ethiopian.

Owner was very nice and made me feel welcomed! Food was very tasty as I remembered it as a child living next door to an Ethiopian family. Perfect flavor with good amount of spices. Would recommend if you're on the fence!

The reviews on here should all be 5 stars the food is amazing. I went to all the other Ethiopian restaraunts in charlotte and none of them hit the mark. I got here and the food was amazing. I asked the owner for a job for about 5 months and ended up working there for a year and a half. The pay was great and they kept everything so clean.

Having no knowledge whatsoever of Ethiopi0an food, I will gladly say that a most fascinating experience it indeed was! Not only was I offered samples of all so that I could choose what I wanted to order, but I got a geography lesson as to where different dishes originated, what languages were spoken and customs thereof. The owner, Terry, introduced me to other customers who were also very helpful to increasing my knowledge of Eritrean cuisine. The food arrived rapidly, and

Food was good and resonably priced. They have recently been reopened and had no printed menus during my visit. It did take some time before my food arrived.

This was probably one of the best food experiences I've had in Charlotte. The owner and her family were extremely hospitable and kind. And the food was awesome. Spiced perfectly and cooked well. Definitely a gem I will be returning to.

Fun and awesome. There is beer and they are used to people having no idea what to order off the menu. I walked in and said I didn't know what to get and she asked me chicken or beef then helped me choose sides and said she had an appetizer I needed to try and gave it to me on the house because she knew I'd like it and I did.

I just moved here from Boston and wanted some good healthy food! The food is amazing! I would recommend to any and everyone!

Had a great experience this evening. Food was excellent and the staff friendly and very helpful. We were unaware that they didn't have high chairs when we brought our 1 yr old so that was a bit disappointing but I'll be going back again soon for the great food!

This food was amazing. The owner was very friendly and helpful with helping me order something I might really like. She correctly suspected I wasn't too familiar with East African cuisine and made sure I had the best dinner experience as possible. She also invited me back to enjoy the lunch buffet sometime. I'm new to the neighborhood and I will definitely be going back!

Absolutely amazing food! I highly recommend it to anyone who loves African cultural foods or just wants to try something new. The owner is very kind and hospitable and they definitely put a lot of love into their food. Can't wait to return in the future and taste some more of the flavors of Eritrea and Etheopia.
