Felix's Handmade Empanadas

Haven’t tried the food yet, but the service was awful. The cashier had no sense of urgency. We got a text saying our order was ready at 12:07, but we didn’t actually get the food until 12:17 and then had to wait another 5–6 minutes just for drinks. She had an attitude, was slamming things around, and honestly if my 4-month old hadn’t started getting fussy, I would’ve asked for a refund. Hopefully the food makes up for the poor service.

Lady working the register today 10/01/25 is rude as hell. I witness the friendly interactions she had with the other customers but her attitude changed when I proceeded to place my order. My friends, teammates, family, and I will never go to that place again

Takes a long time to get your food since they throw it in the oven to order, so if there’s a line expect to wait a while. They need a better system like if they texted you when your food was done that would be much better. The food is incredible. I have yet to have a bad empanada and I’ve tried a bunch.

Delicious empanadas and ceasar salad... Fries are okay!! Mexican Hot Sauce has good flavor but is not spicy!! Overall, is yummy!!! 😋

This place is amazing. I got an assortment of traditional and dessert empanadas. Every one and every bite was just so flavorful. 10/10 recommend

So incredibly delicious, super quick and kind service, and I seriously cannot thank y’all enough for such a wonderful meal! We came to Optimist Hall when a concert was delayed and we found this absolute GEM that EVERYONE should visit. FANTASTIC food all around; empanadas, beans & rice, even the fries are top tier. Thank y’all so much for being around! We can’t wait to come back.

The empanada dough was crispy and flaky, loved the Mexican hot sauce, it was either guajillo or pasa chile that they used.

The Argentinas empanadas are not the real Argentinas empanadas. Sorry.

Absolutely amazing. My wife and I had our first date at optimist hall 2 years ago, had the empanadas and had the best date ever. 2 years later, the service is just as amazing if not better and the food is incredible. Felix, the owner, is awesome and very generous. We will definitely be coming back. Yall have to order the fries with whatever you order. We got a shepherd's pie empanada which was different, but so good. We also got the cheese empanada which is a classic go to, never disappoints. The steak empanadas hit the spot. We also got a chicken empanada which was delicious. The sauces are incredible and packed with flavor, as is everything on the menu. Absolutely 10/10.

The BEST EMPANADAS IN CHARLOTTE, NC!!!

I tried the Argentinian chicken empanadas today. The dough was not done right, it seemed that it frozen and the reheated . The filling was over seasoned and the chicken was partly burned.
These are not authentic empanadas, and not what I'm used to having in authentic Argentinian restaurants. The service was awful. The girl at the counter does not engage with the customers and seams to be more interested in looking at her phone with the AirPods in place. That's probably why she could not hear my questions. The food is overpriced and not prepared properly. Avoid this place.
