Popped in after grabbing some food from Optimist Hall. The ambience itself is great, there's a ton of seating options and it was pretty empty when we were there, which was nice.

The beer options were fine. Didn't love any of the IPAs we got but they were pretty standard. I did feel as if it's maybe a more local bar, as the bartenders seemed particularly interested in chatting with those at the bar itself and left us alone unless we were ordering and seemed forgetful we were there afterward. I truly don't understand the vibe of the bathroom decor but enjoyed it.

Always great beer here. The salted lager is incredible and the peanut butter brown was great. One thing I always wondered is why it smells like crayons in there all the time?

Not a horrible experience, just not pleasant and wouldn’t return based on it. After walking in and making eye contact with several employees, we had to wait several minutes for an employee to take our order and he seemed annoyed to even do it. They have extremely unique sounding beers so we asked if we were able to try any before ordering and were told we could try one each (just an odd answer for a brewery…never been told that before, especially from somewhere with beers featuring unique flavor combinations that not everyone would enjoy). After selecting one beer to try, the bar tender poured the tiniest amount of beer into a glass. Not even a sips worth. It was foam barely covering the bottom of a glass. I’ve had the beers before and they’re decent, not great but decent. Based off customer service alone, I would not recommend it. Just an overall unpleasant experience for everyone we came with.

I went here on 6/6/2025, and couldn’t have been more pleased. I have been here many times, and as always, the brewery does not disappoint. The selection of beers is always incredible and the service is even better. I highly recommend coming here if you live in Charlotte or visiting. If I could give it six stars I would.

Chill place to duck into from the noise of the main dining hall. Great beer selection, with lots of limited edition stuff from the main Nebo brewery. Friendly staff!

If you're looking for good vibes, cool people, and great beers then you found it. I'm a big craft beer fan, so finding a gem like this, especially as part of a gem like optimist hall, is excellent. Simply put, Fonta Flora and the people here rock. Come check this place out.

Three years ago, my husband and I had our first date at Fonta Flora. Fast forward to this March, we hosted our rehearsal dinner here, which was incredibly meaningful and special. Throughout the process of booking the indoor space for the event, Myra was so helpful in getting everything set up. Day of, Myra and all of the staff were incredible kind and helpful! The space was absolutely perfect. It was so special to celebrate the beginning of our wedding weekend at a place that means so much to us.

I went there on a rainy day visiting from Texas. The staff answered all my questions, gave me some samples, and I ended up getting some cool garbage pail kids stickers that showcase some breweries around there. All great pricing great drinks

Kevin and the brew crew are always fantastic, knowledgeable and the service is consistently excellent. Always a varied and eclectic beer choice, beautiful setting and plenty of food choices to eat while enjoying your drink of choice. We visit every time we come to Charlotte, FF is our favorite!

We were sent an email about Optimist Hall’s fall festival where the flyer stated this brewery would have boozy fall slushies. We came to the festival specifically for them, but when we arrived, we were rudely dismissed by the bartender who said they don’t have that. I understand it’s a brewery not a slushy place, but we were sent an ad for it. Maybe work with Optimist to prevent advertising something you don’t have instead of getting annoyed with your (new, never again) customers…
