Fonta Flora Brewery - Optimist Hall

I went there on a rainy day visiting from Texas. The staff answered all my questions, gave me some samples, and I ended up getting some cool garbage pail kids stickers that showcase some breweries around there. All great pricing great drinks

Kevin and the brew crew are always fantastic, knowledgeable and the service is consistently excellent. Always a varied and eclectic beer choice, beautiful setting and plenty of food choices to eat while enjoying your drink of choice. We visit every time we come to Charlotte, FF is our favorite!

We were sent an email about Optimist Hall’s fall festival where the flyer stated this brewery would have boozy fall slushies. We came to the festival specifically for them, but when we arrived, we were rudely dismissed by the bartender who said they don’t have that. I understand it’s a brewery not a slushy place, but we were sent an ad for it. Maybe work with Optimist to prevent advertising something you don’t have instead of getting annoyed with your (new, never again) customers…

Great location, but that’s about it. Given the range of beer options in NC, this is towards the bottom in terms of IPA, Hazy, and Lagers. The aftertaste is particularly awkward on all these. Maybe the other stuff if good 🤷‍♂️.

The guy who poured our beers was very attentive… but it’s really frustrating when the bar starts to back up and one of the workers is more concerned creating TikToks vs. servicing customers.

Amazing beers. Even better people. Great location. Always go grab lunch upstairs then bring it down and have a beer. Smells like I’m in an old Crayola factory. Love this place.

Managment was rude, very overpriced and bad vibes

We had the absiult beat time and opportunity to meet Books on the House and grab some free books because Fonta Flora was doing a fundraiser for there non-profit organization. The people here are so nice! The atmosphere is just awesome. I didn't realize until after I had gone a couple of times that they have a QR Code that will give you 5 Free Hours of parking, so you don't have to pay to park while you have a beer. That's just awesome!

Good interesting beers (in good way). From sour, / tart beers to stout, there are good range for beers to choose.
It’s right next to Optimist Hall, and perfect spot to spend good afternoon.

1st one of the workers approached us and said “ don’t get to comfortable no alcohol.” Ok fine downed my drink to sit down with my child, niece and nephew. He than comes back to the table maybe 20 minutes later while we’re eating to say “we need tables for our customers and that we need to hurry up and eat.” I told him I will leave when I finish or when the customers come he than stated “ ok if you take to long I’ll get security.” Not once did this man ask if I wanted anything that they sold at this establishment and it was empty with several empty tables outside and no one sitting at them. Not to mention several tables that were not minority did not have any drinks (beer or wine) from this establishment, which is why I was confused as to why it was a problem for me and my family to sit here. I didn’t mind moving if indeed there were customers but there were none!

Never thought I would actually get here or any of the two rooms great beers all day you already know that Ryan with the amazing help and convo so glad I made it

This is a great brewery in a cool location. They have a good lineup, and great knowledgeable staff. Location in optimist hall is very central and a good place to relax. Check it out on your next visit.
