“The Korean corn dogs were a unique experience. The Cheeto dust and cheese on the inside were delicious including the sauces and sugar. The cheese could’ve been hotter more gooey but it tasted great.I would’ve hoped for my Cheeto dog to have more sauce. I spent $18 for two fairly simple customized dogs. I see it as a novelty food you get once in a blue moon. Overall I would say their Korean corn dogs taste really good. I felt like I could’ve gotten more bang for my buck however.“

“The food is on the pricey side for what you get, and the quality is okay. I won't be going back because of all the extra sales tax added on. I'm guessing it's a Marriott thing, because what even is a county tax?! The food already cost too much, and then you're adding an extra 5 lines of taxes, AND y'all still expect a tip after all that?! Maybe start putting all those taxes into some wages. So far, this is the only place I know of in Charlotte that taxes you SO HARD for no reason! ?“

Charlotte Christmas Village Food Stands • $$
324 S Mint St, Charlotte

“Get ready to ignite your holiday spirit at Light the Knights! This festival is the perfect way to embrace the winter wonderland and have some serious fun. I finally rallied my friends, and we headed down for a night of festive cheer. Yes, it was packed (no surprise!), but the energy was electric, and nothing could dampen our excitement.

The entire area is transformed into a Christmas dreamscape, complete with dazzling decorations, mouthwatering treats, snow tubing, and ice skating! Tickets vary depending on the activities you choose, and of course, we went all in! We snagged our wristbands (essential for tubing and skating) and headed straight for the action. The lines moved surprisingly well, and everyone was super friendly. We tubed multiple times and hit the ice rink twice for about 20-30 minutes each time.

Pro-tip: the skates run a bit small, so you might need to size up. Food is a bit pricey (think stadium prices), so plan accordingly. Even the earlier rain couldn't stop our fun - just dress appropriately, and you'll be good to go. Trust me, Light the Knights is an absolute must-do this holiday season! You won't be disappointed.“

“The sushi burritos are FANTASTIC. As well as the shrimp tempura, edamame, and spring roll appetizers. The miso soup is AWFUL, surprisingly. I don't know what was in it but it was more like soggy bread chunks than tofu.“
