Worst experience recently. I'm a costumer from past 5 years. The meet is dry like rock, you get lumps of rice. Very very dry and no flavor. I'm seeing new faces on the cart, if you new, you are miles away from the old flavor.

Cheap, delicious, a lot of food and open very late night. What more can you want?!
Location is prime too. Would totally recommend the combo plate with chicken and lamb over rice with the white special sauce and add a drizzle of the spicy sauce. The falafel were delicious too. Would recommend if you are looking for a late night munchy or a cheap meal.

Let me start by saying $11 for almost two pounds of hot food at midnight is AMAZING! Along with a fun atmosphere of young adults eating off tailgates and car hoods is what makes this special.
The cons: the first time I ever had Indian food was about 3 years ago and I was amazed! The friend warned me "the cheaper the cost of the food the worse it gets". I implied "worse" to taste however this food was delicious. What I found out about 15 minutes after eating this, "worse"= fast moving bubble gut. If you don't eat Indian food very often take this home or you're going to have a problem in your car. They should have a porta potting nearby. And they didn't give me a fork maybe for the best as it forced me to take it to my hotel room.
I want to say the problem was more of my own being that I'm not used to this palette, however the problem was so severe that I know I won't return. I was originally going to leave two stars but felt bad because the atmosphere just seems so fun and reminded me of my youth eating Gene and Jude hot dogs at 2:00 a.m. in Chicago.

2018: Great local food truck with amazing food at a cheap price.
2024 edit: This is not a classic Halal guys truck, but the food is great for the price and stays open late. However, dealing with the cash only/online ordering and varying quality is kinda a pain.
Top that up with being consistently harassed by people asking you for money or trying to sell you street weed. It's becoming frustrating and not worth the risk. I used to go twice a week, and I have really dropped that to twice a month due to some traumatic experiences experienced literally at their window.
In short, I am sticking to it being a lunch spot and decreasingly not going there after hours without a group since they do nothing to deal with the people who are causing issues.

I DoorDash from you guys often and I mean OFTEN but this? , yall ain’t right. This looks like you scraped whatever you had in the pan and sent it out with the dasher and this is highly disappointing the meat didn’t even taste the same and the white sauce you could just tell the cook was different on 11/30/24

Is says the staple of Charlotte;I THINK NOT! THERE GIVING BAD REPUTATION. I'm very upset with my experience. Not only did they forget my order after I paid (they weren't busy) the skimmed my platter. After I finally had to convince him I paid he waved me off like some dog. I'm a black male wearing a book bag, he probably thought I was homeless and treated me like dirt. I'd never experience this type of treatment from any food truck this would be my first. I'd suggest you don't get food from this truck. No stars for this one.

Food and service are decent. Location is convenient especially to those working in the area or passing through Uptown. Only slightly bad thing is customers are pestered by homeless people in the area looking for a free meal. Many of them have serious mental health issues so they don’t have boundaries and it is off putting to customers. The business doesn’t have security and tries not to intervene but it does effect business and it why I try to avoid visiting at certain times of the day or even at all, especially if I am alone. They only accept cash.

TOOOO GOOD! This is my first time having their food but I saw a video that went viral on TikTok and there wasn’t one negative comment under the post so I knew I had to try it. Picked this up tonight coming from work. My family LOVED IT! We will be back!
