Great food 10/10
This place is terrible. The food was not thr best. The scallops smelt different. I was actually going to take it back and let thrm smell how bad it was. Smelt like spoiled scallops. Then some of the food i ate had like sand like texture in it, it was like biting into sand. Idk what the hell that was. I couldnt eat it. The service was ok but just because they sell me this trash I couldnt give thrm anything higher. Never again on to the next. Do better. Check your food , stop keeping old food. This should be checked by a health inspector

I had the chicken hibachi, the rice was more or less white rice, and their chicken had no flavor.

It was my first time there. The food was good except for rice. It had been in warmer way too long. It was hard and crunchy. It was weird that they had a jewelry counter in the restaurant.
I really wanted to leave this place five stars as the food is delicious. Yet, the amount of frustration after driving 20 minutes to eat there during normal business hours to find them closed with no notice or anything is indescribable. Repurposing drove out of our way to eat here for my birthday to find them closed. This is the kind of thing that makes people not go somewhere again.
This place has a very weird vibe. It feels like they took a very DIY approach to turn a jewelry store into Japanese restaurant. Definitely a take out place, albeit a bit over priced. The rice is a bit hard but reasonably seasoned. The white sauce they gave me had separated a bit into water and mayo. Would not come back.

Second time ordering out here and the food was as good as the first time. I didn’t have to ask for silverware and the bag was thoughtfully put together to take out in the rain. I will definitely be a regular patron!

I recently visited Hanaya Garden and noticed a sign on the door indicating 'no public restrooms.' Although the restrooms were visible and accessible to guests, they were locked. I didn’t inquire about access, assuming they were not available, and had to walk to a nearby 7-Eleven to use their facilities. As someone with a heart rate condition that worsens with physical exertion, this was particularly challenging; my heart rate spiked to 144 bpm.
We had been looking forward to a relaxing meal after a long day of errands, but this situation was quite frustrating. I was under the impression that sit-down restaurants are required by code to provide public restrooms. Additionally, I noticed that the surrounding area seemed quite unsavory, and I observed what appeared to be a drug deal in the parking lot. This added to my discomfort and disappointment with the visit.

I haven't been to Hanaya for years. My family and I stopped by for an early dinner. We were not disappointed.

I had their Bulgogi beef, and it was excellent! The rice has plenty of flavor without being overly fried, doused in excessive seasoning, or filler veggies like peas. It is minimal for rice, but done very well and gives lots of meat in exchange. The veggie hibachi might be what you'd want with the rice, I've got to return to see. At the counter there's a notice saying they don't use MSG because they care (I think those concerns are overblown). When I first came in I was somewhat confused by the jewelry counter, but I saw art everywhere from the tables to the ceiling so I came around to like it.
