this place was very disappointing. I am a single mother and I spent weeks working hard to be able to take my 3 kids out to a nice meal. back before my husband died and we had money we would come here a lot , our favorite employee Ananya would always greet us and be so kind and give amazing service. This time when we went, there was a RAT that scurried across my feet! I was so scared, since my husband died from rabies, and I don't want to leave my kids to be orphans. I called the manager Amber over and she told me "shut the F up that never happened. keep eating your pizza fatty" I was appalled. NEVER will return!

After being recommended by a close friend I thought I would take my family here as I am quite busy with work and had a day off a few weekends ago. Upon being seated the waitress asked me what my 11 year old son wanted to order (he is black and we adopted my sweet boy as a baby) and I told her to ask him because he is right there and the waitress responded with "does he know he's a adopted?" So I ask to speak to the manager (her name was either amber or Allison I don't remember) and she was dismissive and just offered us a coupon to stay quiet. We stormed out before we could even order before this place could make us morbidly obese from their low easy bake oven quality pizza. I would prefer ordering pizza from SHEIN from now on :(Kid-friendliness: Made racist and disrespectful comments to my adopted son

i used to work here, i had to leave for mental health reasons and they never took me back after that. honestly they didn't even believe i had mental health problems or the people who did left when i came back.

Going to this restaurant was honestly one of the most miserable experiences of my life. I’m not sure what happened to the place- I used to come a lot and there was one employee (Ananya I think her name was) who was absolutely excellent and made the experience much better. Unfortunately, I didn’t see her this time around- and from what I’ve seen, the place has gone downhill immensely. The manager, Amber, had a terrible attitude and did not seem present for her job. The food was much more greasy, and the joint was a mess. My table was dirty when we were seated, with parmesan and greasy crumbs leftover from the previous diners. At one point, a spider came down from the ceiling and began crawling over my daughter’s food. When we brought this to the attention of management, they neglected to replace her food or provide a refund. Absolutely do not recommend!!

Never a fail. This restaurant is absolutely delicious with great customer service. After just coming home from a trip in Italy, Italian food and pizza has been a little iffy to me since Italy raised my standards up. However, Hawthornes did not disappoint me. I love their pizza, garlic knots, Caesar salad, and their pasta. All food is made with care so it does take a little longer for food to be sent to the table. However, if you are in a rush, you can order to-go. You must give Hawthornes a try. You will not be disappointedz

My experiences here, have always been pleasant. The food portions and tastes are always good. I appreciate the service. The ambiance doesn't seem rushed. It's an exciting atmosphere. They'll usually have sports programs on the television, at the bar. I've been to another Hawthorne's NY Pizza restaurant on 7th Ave Hawthorne Ave, in the uptown area, and it has the same vibe. I recommend enjoying a pleasant time at either location with friends and/or family. I'm excited to go back and visit
