My family (3 adults and 4 children) went to the Huntersville location this past weekend and there was literally a COCKROACH hanging out on the floor by our table. We pointed it to our waitress and she said how embarrassing it was, then proceeded to smash it with her foot while telling us “don’t look” multiple times. I ordered lasagna around 9:30 Saturday October 4th. In South End. They made it look yummy on their website but what they served me was not edible. It looked as if someone drowned lasagna noodles in spaghetti sauce but the sauce wasn’t even red so I’m not sure what it was. By the time I got home and got a look at it the restaurant was closed so I couldn’t take it back.

Hawthorne's NY Pizza and Bar has become a neighborhood staple, with new management making regulars feel like home. The GM Millisa and Bar Manager LA know everyone by name. Bradley also provided good energy and made a visit feel special, like talking to a friend. Carrie is also loved, and the staff treats customers amazingly. For the first time in years, the restaurant had live music with singer Vanessa's soft voice; the entertainment made an otherwise boring Thursday perfection and is hoped to become permanent for patio season.
However, one order of personal pizzas for pick up looked like a cake with toppings and sauce, and one was burnt, leading to disappointment. Despite this, another first-time order from a NY native was absolutely delicious, solving the search for good pizza. Most of the time everything is perfect, though occasionally new waitresses are a little less attentive.
