I'm a born and raised New Yorker who was born in Brooklyn. I know exactly what a true NYC pizza should taste like. Everytime that I come across a restaurant that uses the New York name to sell its pizza I get scared. Why!!!! Most of the time the pizza is not authentic. What do I mean by authentic??
The type of flour used for the dough, the sauce and the size of the pie and pizza slices. If a restaurant is not using 00 semolina Italian flour to make the dough, if the sauce is not done right and if the pizza slice is not big enough to fold then the pizza is not an authentic New York City pie.
Yesterday when I walked into this restaurant I had the same fear!!! Not one Italian person in sight working at this restaurant and definitely no Italians in the kitchen.
Paid $23 (with tax) for an 18 inch pie with ricotta cheese sauce (never heard of a ricotta cheese sauce) and extra cheese. Got home with the pie and my fears were realized!!! The flour that they used to make the dough is correct and the texture of the crust is authentic like it's done in NYC......but when I picked up the first slice of pizza it was feather light. That's when I realized that the extra cheese that I paid for was not put on the pie and there was minimal sauce put on..... just a dry flavorless pie!!!!
To Amanda's (manager) credit she offered an immediate refund when I called.....thank you for great customer service Amanda!!!
In all fairness people make mistakes and maybe the person in the kitchen simply forgot to add the extra cheese and maybe their white pie is not the best pie to get. I will give this restaurant another try and go back and buy a regular pie. Stay tuned!!
2⭐⭐ for using the right Italian flour for the dough and 4⭐⭐⭐⭐ for the great manager customer service.

Came here for lunch and the food was FANTASTIC. Best baked ziti we’ve ever had, and the buffalo wing pizza was delicious too! Tiffany was our server and she was incredibly kind and attentive, we’d definitely request her when coming in the future. Highly recommend coming here!

Leaves their patio speakers going after hours late into the night, and has weird noises play on repeat as early as 8am. Love a good pizza shop alarm clock
Very tasty New York Style Pizza. I was passing through Charlotte on I-77 and was happy you find this place just a few minutes away from the Interstate. I called ahead and was able to find a parking spot and picked it up with no problems. This is worth a taste if you love a NY Style Pizza Pie!

This is such a cute place to get drinks and food with friends. We loved the atmosphere and the bartender, Tiffany, was amazing at suggesting drinks when I wasn’t sure. The food was delicious - we got two different types of pizza and a Stromboli. Highly recommend for anyone who is looking for yummy food and delicious drinks. Service was phenomenal.
