I was not in the mood to try anything but my cousin assure me I would not only like the beef pattie and coco bread but love it, she was correct! I couldn't tell if I was in NY or NC, well next will be my favorite dish ox-tails
Sorry I wanted to love this so bad, but, today I tried Ox-tails curry chicken rice peas, mac n cheese, beef patties coco bread. Epic fail, I asked for extra gravy on the side, but it was pour all over food like a soup, the mac n cheese taste a little off/old not sure if it was noodles or cheese, next the curry chicken didn't have any curry flavor and was hard to pull from bone, the Ox-tails were not as tender as could be and the entire meal was salty, headache salty I had to throw it in trash unfortunately at a lost of $50 for entire meal. The beef patties were still great but today my coco bread had mold on it. I did hesitated on trying these items because I fear this, I'll just stick to beef patties moving forward

I finally found my spot for Jamaican food in Charlotte. Best brown stew chicken I’ve had since moving here. It tasted just like Mama Mertz’s, my great grandmother. I wish the plantains were a bit dryer and overcooked, (personal preference) but they still tasted very good.
Ordering for delivery was easy on their website and the food came in a timely manner. I will definitely order from them again and recommend them to friends and family.

Food was fresh and so flavorful. Jerk was right amount of spice, the patties flaky and homemade, and the dessert strawberry crunch I have to stay far away from. Portions were great and will be back to visit
Island flavors II is my go to place for authentic Jamaican food.

Its hard to find good chinese, good Mexican and good Jamaican food. This is the BEST Jamaican food in Charlotte NC. They give you plenty of food with great prices and service. The only place I get my Jamaican food from. I had the curry chicken, rice and peas, cabbage and yams. Purchased the large portion and was able to eat off the plate twice.

ordered through delivery the other day and the food here is so bomb. i had the brown stew and jerk chicken. the rice and peas were okay just needed a bit more salt and the peas needed to be done a little bit more. the chicken was extremely tender and had a lot of flavor! and the mac and yams were great. those yams were incredible. I will be back again.

Might be in the cut.. in the hood.. horrible parking. But!!! The food and the portion is by FAR one of the best in Charlotte! I drive almost 40 min for the food ... worth it and the prices are definitely reasonable... would recommend 100%
Ps. You can hardly find it in the city!! The Porridge is perfect 👌

I’ve been in NC 12 years and this is the best Jamaican food I ever had I got the pepper steak dinner plate with Yazz and mac & cheese usually at places there’s no flavor but this was so good I also got a beef patty no complaints just full 😂🥰 and the prices aren’t bad for the portion

Ok so I have eaten here off and on for two years. This place has the best Jamaican food in Charlotte. Disclaimers: I am an ackee and salt fish connoisseur, and this place has the best outside of New York. I don’t eat oxtails so I can’t comment on that. I love their Rasta pasta and the shrimp Alfredo is good too. Make sure to try the sweet potato cornbread , it’s the best I’ve ever had, tell them to warm it for you as well. All of their portions are huge and I never get disappointed. I order online because they do have deals sometimes that they do not advertise when you order in person. In these days everyone is a critic so I have read reviews about the wait, but that can happen on the weekends at any popular place , it’s like what do you expect. Also I like trini food and they are the only place with chickpeas in the city. And most places only serve ackee for breakfast , but they serve it all day. They also have a lot of vegetarian options. The only con is that the shopping center where they are located is small and parking can get wild.
