As a New Yorker who is new to Charlotte, I was desperately trying to find good Jamaican food and this is the CLOSEST I’ve had compared to NYC Jamaican food. I got the jerk salmon w/ rice & peas with cabbage and curry/brown stew gravy. SO GOOD! Felt like I was back home which I didn’t think was possible here in Charlotte. Best Jamaican food in Charlotte hands down! I've tried the oxtail (simply mouthwateringly delicious), the mango habanero chicken and waffles is my new favorite, the corn meal porridge is made to perfection. No other place comes close in this area!

Where products like these aren’t too easily accessible, island flavors more than have it. I was able to buy a bulk load (24 pack) of some roots tonic from them. Special thanks to Mya who apparently went out her way to make business easy from order to pick up. I will be continuing doing business with them simply because it was nice, easy and efficient 😎
