LAGZ RESTAURANT & BAR

This place is a complete scam! They advertise buffet.. it is Buffett style but food is just thrown in buffet pans in a back room. Food packed flavor, unless you like salt! Jollof was not fluffy but more of a wet texture. None of my food was HOT. Dishes were dirty and for 73.00, I was offered water! When my husband and I asked for a refund they stated they didn’t do them, although it’s not posted! Don’t waste your time or money on this establishment. Find something better and worth the money.

This is the most unprofessional place I have been to and seen in my life!!! It is very obvious whoever owns this establishment doesn’t know how to run a business. They are very unprofessional, short staff, food seems old and doesn’t know how to keep schedule times of operation. My wife and I look up the time it open on line. Wednesday it said 11am. Thursday is said 1pm and when we got there, Thursday, waiting in the parking lot over a 40 mins, the they change the time on line to 3pm. We drove over a hour away for such horrible service. This place really need to get their priorities together. It’s hard to support a business that is unorganized in every level/ Spectrum.

not a great experience here. only positive was the server/bartender was nice, understanding and hospitable. aside from that, i did not enjoy my food or lemon drop. beef suya wasn’t hot when it came out. the meat seemed kind of old or the incorrect cut of meat, & the suya seasoning was nothing special. the puff puff was just okay. the jollof rice plate was also not hot when it came out. the bar only had 1 girl working at night. everyone had to wait there turn requesting her service in between her running food orders from the kitchen.
also the music could’ve been a bit louder. it was on whisper… i can’t recall one song i heard in there.

Everything was fantastic, Yemi was so very lovely, sweet and made the experience excellent! I’d come back for her ALONE, love it here 10/10 ⭐️

We happened to drop in because we were staying at the hotel near by. My husband loved the Joloff rice, flounder and shrimp basket and the ghost pepper hot sauce. I am not adventurous so I had the cheeseburger with the lagz sauce and enjoyed it. The music was great and the wait staff was very attentive to our needs. People have to understand that it is not a fast food restaurant. You have to wait for good food. My husband's food took longer to come out because the boss lady didn't like how the fish was battered at first and we were okay with that. Thank you for ensuring the quality of the food.

I hardly leave reviews but for $75.00 to get the little amount of food I got is not worth it!

My visit was 10/10! The food was great and the prices are great! For such good quality, the price is more than competitive, the service was the icing on the cake, our server Yemi, was so incredibly attentive and kind, personable, and connected with us, she set such a great tone from the start that had us excited and both her service and the restaurants service did not disappoint, I will be coming here regularly!!

Chefs were in training food bad restaurant not so clean over charged us. Brought us food we had not ordered. Must have been an off day one man called for manager cause the waitress called him out over where he was sitting

I recently had the pleasure of dining at LAGZ Restaurant & Bar in Charlotte, and I was blown away by the experience. This was my first time trying Nigerian cuisine, and I didn’t know what to expect—but I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful and delicious the food was! Every dish was well-prepared, rich in taste, and truly a treat for the palate.

What made the experience even better was our exceptional server, Yemi. She went above and beyond to guide us through the menu, recommending dishes that perfectly suited our tastes. Her warmth, knowledge, and attentiveness made us feel right at home. She truly elevated our dining experience, and I cannot thank her enough for introducing me to the vibrant flavors of Nigerian cuisine.

If you’re looking to try something new and enjoy incredible service, I highly recommend visiting LAGZ Restaurant & Bar—and be sure to ask for Yemi! She’s fantastic.

Yemi was so amazing! Great atmosphere, great food, and absolutely fantastic service! Yemi made sure we had everything we needed, checked on us and went the extra mile to make sure we had a pleasant experience.
