I knew the food was going to be so good you would have to slow yourself down to not choke, as soon as I picked up my order. On second thought before even then as you’re greeted like a regular/family as soon as you walk in the door. The care they take in their craft, service, and care leave you definitely wanting to return. ❤️
The most friendliest atmosphere…you are always greeted with a smile.
Wonderful people the gospel music was my favorite old school gospel and the food was Fabulous

Despite some ongoing transition, it is still considered the best soul food in Charlotte, NC, with everything cooked to perfection. The atmosphere may not be perfect at the moment, but the food remains exceptional—especially the pork chop plate with yams and broccoli casserole, crocker fish with greens, mac and cheese, and the delicious cornbread. The staff is polite and patient, explaining the menu and making sure orders are accurate. The restaurant is highly recommended for anyone wanting a culinary experience that leaves them wanting to return.
