I recently visited the dog park with my furry companion, but the experience left me concerned. After spending the day there, my dog's urine was abnormally dark, indicating possible exposure to harmful substances. I believe the park needs to step up its maintenance and monitoring to ensure a safe environment for our pets. More caution and care are necessary to prevent potential health risks. Disappointing experience! To fellow owners, I advise staying with your furry friends the whole day instead leaving them just to keep a watchful eye. This ensures their safety and well-being.

I’m very please with the grooming service for my dog Jeter. He looked really nice!! They focused on asking specific questions and details to get it done right, I strongly recommended.

I've come here a lot over the past few years, but now that I'm back in Charlotte for a while, I feel like this place just gets a special place in my heart. Most everyone is very kind, including staff, and it's just a great place to be. Last time my sister and I came here a couple weeks ago, we were welcomed and were able to pet so many dogs. My own dog died in October and it just hasn't been the right time to get another dog in my heart. But I can still come to Lucky Dog and grab a drink while playing and petting other people's dogs with no judgement, just happiness. For ambiance, it's just a very kind place to go to where dog people unite. I usually get beer or kombucha here, and there's actually a really yummy non-alcoholic lavender lemon kombucha by Lenny Boy there for anyone looking for something non-alcoholic other than water. You can also play games like "what do you meme" or "jenga" here with friends, which is really fun. But also if you come by yourself just looking to pet some dogs, most people are very kind and don't care. They know that some people either can't have a dog right now, or their dog probably recently died. So it's my favorite dog bar in Charlotte because I feel like most everyone here, customers and staff, are pretty kind, and want you to pet their dog if their dog is sociable, without judgement. Will come back here again and again.

Thank you guys so much for being so accommodating! We had a schedule mix up and I needed last minute daycare for my two fur babies. Thankfully we had a Lucky Dog account from a previous visit last year. The front desk was extremely helpful and I was able to have them set and dropped off for daycare within an hour. Really appreciate your flexibility!

Beware of pricing and unethical business practices. I booked a reservation for boarding which they confirmed. Two days after I dropped her off, they texted me to say they were going to be closed on the pickup day that was confirmed so I needed to pick her up the next day AND PAY $60 (plus food I was short) for their error. When I got the final bill they overcharged as well. An extra $5 for every night for “peak” boarding even though that was never disclosed and an extra $30 for daycare the day I picked her up when they have also never done that before. I will not be going back.

Pet paradise! North Carolina's boarding haven with refreshing drinks. My furry friend's stay was as delightful as mine. Cheers to excellence!

Adjusted pricing unreasonably and without transparency. This used to be a relatively good value for boarding your pet. Now the fees are extraordinary and a bad value for money.

LDBB was once a great place for boarding my dog but it isn't anymore. The new pricing model can cost a person from $90 to $120 for a 24 hour stay. Prior to Nov 1st, a 24 hour stay would cost roughly $45 or so. Now, if you decide to check your dog in at 2pm and plan to pick them up by 1pm the next day (23 hours) then you'll be paying for two daycare sessions and 1 boarding session. Why? Daycare ends at 5pm and starts back up at 6:30am. Because you brought your dog in before 5pm, you are now subject to pay for 1 daycare session. And because your dog is spending the night, you will now pay $30. And because you picked your dog up after 6:30am the next day, you now pay for another daycare session. Grand total - $90 ($120 if daycare requires 1 on 1 play times) for just 23 hours of boarding. Pet Palace (a mile away) charges $43.75 for a 4x10 area for your dog. Their suite is just $10 more and includes a TV plus webcam. Pet Palace will be her new second home. It's been a good 8 years LDBB. Jade will miss you guys. My pocketbook on the otherhand...won't.

Updated review: something has changed with the management here we have boarding and doing daycare services here for over a year our dog Calliope last visit was August 13th before the discovery of 2 mass cell tumors they were removed and is undergoing chemotherapy. I brought Calliope in today 11/5/2023 we were told that she has been moved into non social grouping due "incidents" as a customer I was never told about these incidents Everytime I asked how she did they stated "all good nothing to worry about" we'll be looking for other boarding options.

They took excellent care of my dog. They sent updates with pictures that showed him having the best time.

This establishment feels like a second family! I feel 100% comfortable leaving my doggie with them. They know him by name they are in communication if something doesn’t seem right. They are easy to get along with and they actually love dogs! I honestly get a little jealous of how much my dog loves them lol he forgets about me when I drop him off. I’m so lucky to have found this place! It’s been 2 wonderful years and many many more to come! I would 1000% recommend! Tux and I love this place!
