They have Lunch Specials (M-F until 3PM) where you can get Chicken or Kafta Kababs or Shawarma Meat with two sides for $12.99. That’s one of the best lunch deals in town! As a top Google Guide & Contributor with over 233 Million views, I’ve eaten pretty much everywhere, but I have to say this: the food here is incredibly tasty. Every bite is packed with flavor, and the toum (garlic spread/dip) is to die for!
I grew up near Detroit, and my mom would frequent the best Mediterranean restaurants, bringing home carry-out on a weekly basis—so I know good Mediterranean food.
During this visit, I introduced myself to the GM of YAFO, whose name is Drex, and told him how much I loved the food & especially the toum. He then introduced me to Alfredo, the chef. It was nearly closing time, but we had a great chat. I told them both that I can’t wait to bring my husband, who is the ultimate critic—he had both a Lebanese and a Greek grandmother, and the food in his household was insanely good. I know YAFO will impress him.
The best part is that I had so much food in my bowl (I ordered the chicken shawarma with multiple toppings, including tabbouleh, and my son had the falafel) that it was enough for lunch the next day.
And let’s talk about the pita bread that came with our bowls. I have never had such fluffy pita in my life.
To my Google viewers: I hope this place doesn’t get too busy to the point we can’t get in—but seriously, just go. Trust me!

“This is easily the best greek food in Charlotte! Every time I come back home to Charlotte, I’m here at least every other day. They have such good quality food, great portions and prices and an amazing staff! I highly recommend supporting this business.“

“Great food and great service. Got there with a reservation and we were seated within about 5 minutes of our reservation time. It was pretty crowded but wasn't too much of a problem.

Food was really good, got some of the shareable plates for the two of us to share, the brussel sprouts were great and loved the short rib croquettes.

The cocktail menu was extensive and the ones we tried were very good.

Even though it was crowded didn't feel like we were crowded at the table. We were able to have a good conversation without feeling like we had to worry about others hearing us.

“I came here for the NCAA tournament and my first time in charlotte. The rooftop bar is on point. All the bartenders made great drinks. Shout out to will. Will and I talked about the drinks I like and he mixed up things that weren’t even on the menu and they were the best drinks I have had in a long time. The balance in them was impeccable.
