The fried chicken portion was a little small for the price however the Tequila Sour was great and the bartender was very professional. The chicken was tender and crispy.

Great local restaurant and consistently one of our favorites! Diverse menu with multiple healthy options and things that can modified as needed. Superior quality of all food items coupled with exceptional service - all very consistent!!! We had the crab cakes, side of collard greens, salmon on lentils/kale, and a side of roasted butternut squash with brussel sprouts - each dish perfectly cooked, excellent flavors.

Excellent service and great food. Always our go to place. Food was served promptly and hot. Bourbon French toast was a special treat. Biscuits are fantastic. And I take one home for the next day.

All four entrees were excellent. Shrimp and Grits were fabulous. So were the collards. One person got the country fried steak and loved it. Also the grilled chicken side dish was good. Graham was the person taking care of us. He was outstanding. Lots of parking.

Always a great spot for us! We have dined there since it opened & have never been disappointed! The freshest ingredients , a fabulous chef, wonderful hostesses & wait staff make for a consistently excellent experience! The best omelette in town for brunch!!!

I planned dinner with my mom, aunt, grandmother, which is a tough group to please. Everyone, even my vegetarian aunt, enjoyed their meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I look forward to coming back and seeing what's new on the menu! They even had a decent selection of local craft beer.

As always, New South continues to impress. I have never had a bad dining experience here. The service is always fantastic, the food always delicious, and the prices cannot be beaten. They have something for every palate and appetite. New South is an incredible value given the quality provided. If I could provide more than five stars for value, I would. Highly recommend!

The manager and entire service team at New South Kitchen and Bar are amazing. We had the most amazing experience here and highly recommend it for dinner and drinks.
Our reservation was for 11am, which is when they open. Surprisingly, it was very busy and our server seemed a bit overwhelmed at times. The food was delicious, and the overall experience was very good!

New South is a hidden gem in Arboretum. The food is consistently good and the seasonal menu changes to highlight fresh ingredients.We’ve had a birthday dinner here but usually stop in for lunch. Our favorites are the Fried Chicken, NC Trout and Shrimp & Grits.Service is friendly and the restaurant dining room and bar is pretty cool as well. Parking is alway easy in Arbo so no worries there. If you’re in the area stop into New South. It’s worth the trip.
