Open Rice Blakeney Reviews
The beef chow fun is amazingly bland and might as well be called noodle chow fun considering it was almost entirely noodle. Hardly any flavor, nor beef. The server actually recommended it and when he asked me what I think, I said it’s not great. First tried dining here for a date night, we really loved it so we went back for a family brunch and our little girl absolutely loved it! Our server Andrew was awesome too! From appetizer rangoons, to our yuzu sodas, the entrees (dang! that char siu is the best), and the dessert... customizing our bubble waffles was definitely the highlight!☺
First time here and I’m so impressed! The food was absolutely delicious and the “bubble” waffle dessert was AMAZING!!!! Friendly staff and nice portions are a WIN for me!

Open Rice Blakeney is a restaurant with a vast menu that offers delicious and unique twists on Chinese cuisine. The popular roast duck is noted by many as the best in North Carolina, and the sizzling shrimp dish with yum yum sauce remains a favorite. The food is fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portion sizes at reasonable prices. Many customers appreciate the quick service, which is especially helpful for families with small kids. The knowledgeable waitstaff, including friendly service from Wsther, ensures a pleasant dining experience with hot, tasty meals. While some customers mentioned that the rice can be a little hard to chew and that there were too many flies on the patio during lunch, the overall experience is memorable, especially with excellent ice creams and boba teas. Although the prices may be a bit high, the quality of food makes it worth a visit. Vegetarian options are available, allowing any meat to be replaced with tofu. Open Rice Blakeney is seen as one of the best restaurants in the area and is in a great location.
