Original Chicken & Ribs

The food was really good. This is a long established, highly respected business in the community. When you're in line, you can see the neighborhood regulars popping in with their orders. My family had the fried perch sandwich meal and 2 piece dark meat fried chicken with greens and mashed potatoes. The sweet potato pie was delicious.

Y'all got to do better¡ I been eating here for 25 plus years, but over the past two to three years the fridge chicken has been hit or miss. The season is none and it's usually burnt with the taste of old grease. When Big Mama was here, and God bless her, but the food was the bomb. I growed up on Chicken and ribs. Not everything bad, but come on y'all change the grease or close the kitchen.

Driving around Charlotte see where the locals go and eat stopped in here in the food was great I enjoyed it people are very sweet and hospitality is great I had a cheeseburger I really love the chili they put on here it's wonderful and the lemon cake is out of this world and don't forget that okre okra substituted with your combo instead of your fries You will not regret it I forgot to try the greens but I know they got to be good too maybe on Monday before I leave will be back

Love the Fatboy burger with the chili.Just happened on this restaurant cruising around Charlotte and always looking to see where the local folks eat.Im from Chicago and wasn't disappointed.Staff was friendly and the fried okra fantastic all made to order so be patient.One good experience I'll take home with me from my visit.The homemade Lemon cake I'd recommend.

Do not order food online it took my money and the order didn’t go through with toast and toast said it’s the restaurant fault but the restaurant saying it’s toast fault it’s just a unauthorized hold but the order was never place and just wait the money will come back on there. Never had a problem like this ordering online with any restaurant but toast said the restaurant had to refund my money also .
