I bought a fish sandwich combo & get a hand full of fries the fish was dry & the shrimp dinner was not it only got 4 shrimp & a few fries the coleslaw was ok they fell off a lot I wasted $28 for nothing still had to come home & fine something to eat ???????????

Excellent, memorable. I am a "fried chicken snob" and this is the best I've had in a long time. And the collards were the real deal too. This is a small take out place with two tables outside. It takes a while for the food to come out because they are a cook to order place. This is likely why the food is so good but plan on waiting about 20 minutes. Or order ahead. The folks were very welcoming. And again... the chicken was excellent.

I’ve been supporting this business, enjoying the food for over 25 years, so I feel like I grew up with them. Recently, I’ve been quite disappointed with the service. Once I came in near closing time, and was not greeted, but told very rudely, “We’re not taking anymore orders.” I only wanted a drink, purchased, and left. Second time was after daylight savings time, and I didn’t realize it was closing time. The same young lady failed to greet me, and instead stated, “We about to close, we ain’t taking no more orders.” This has left an extremely negative impact on me, and I hope that her Leadership will address this.

This place is amazing. If you don't order online you have to wait 25 minutes. But that wait is soon forgotten when you take that bag to the car and get that first smell of what they put in the bag. You might not even make it out of the parking lot if you did what I did and took that first bite, just to try it out. I couldn't stop until my box was empty. Everything was cooked to perfection.

Original Chicken located at 1100 Beatties Ford Rd, Charlotte, NC 28216 has some of the best of the best Fried Chicken I have ever had hands down.Perfect seasoning, crust, generous size pieces as well! Low prices and their biscuits are amazing.Excellent cakes too. Friendly staff and expect to wait for your chicken to be cooked (20 min aprox) so order ahead if you are rushed for time. And they have my favorite soda - Fanta Cherry!Worth the trip and wait!

Had pork chop sandwich was seasoned just small an kinda tough for 8 bucks !
Ordered hand rolled burgers. Figured it be quick. Def took 30 minutes. Food was just warm. We waited outside for the text to let us know. Glad we kept it basic. Fries seasoned, but also lukewarm. Prices is decent, but you get what you pay for, I guess.

I was really impressed as a first-timer. This establishment is small but nice & clean. The front staff ladies were welcoming, attentive to evry customer and friendly. The menu offers a variety of options that are reasonably priced. I had a little wait for my carryout (chicken & fish plate), but it was well worth the wait! The food was great! ? Hats off to the cooks.The only downside was that the parking was very limited. (But I arrived during the lunch hours). I was also impressed to see that they have an outside dining area. Great for nice sunny days. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
