What happened Persis?!

I remember I came here with my family in 2022-2023. The food was delicious then.

I came back recently and I would not recommend!! I’m so sad to say the quality has gone down so much and I don’t know why.

As other reviewers have pointed out.. the servers are a bit rude and the staff is awkward and not friendly at all. They stare at you and can’t even greet you with a smile.

The food tasted like they just mixed a bunch of random spices together and called it a day. I remember this place being pretty good and the service being good too but now.. I don’t know what happened.

Customer service is bad. You will wait a very long time if you're ordering takeout. Dining in, the wait staff has been rude or extremely awkward on each visit. Bottled water instead of the customary water in a glass you find everywhere else. It felt like a bother for them to grab me another bottle of water. Can't complain about the food, but my previous points keep me from returning again.

The positive - The best Indian lunch buffet in town hands down. The food is delicious. There are plenty of options to choose from.
The negative - If you are looking for ambience and service go somewhere else. This is a no frills kind of place. Would be nice if they could label the vegan options clearly.
If they could keep the outside seating and inside clean and organized I think it would attract a more upscale clientele for a la carte evenings out.

I recently visited this restaurant and appreciated the warm and polite service provided by the woman who took our order. She was attentive and welcoming, which added a nice touch to our dining experience. However, I felt the food could use some improvement. The Goat Sukka, in particular, had a noticeable raw smell, and the overall taste of the dishes was average. Additionally, the Indian breads didn’t meet my expectations in terms of texture and freshness. I would recommend focusing on enhancing the quality and flavors of the food to match the excellent service. Looking forward to seeing improvements on my next visit!

Went for dinner. Ordered tandoori shrimp, methi lamb, and the Persis bread basket. The plain naan was a bit hard, other than that everything else was good. If you're looking for a good ambiance, this place may not be for you. However, if you're just looking for good food, it's definitely worth a visit.

The place is known for having a Buffet. I recommend going on Sunday when they also have Dosas. They do charge a little more so on Sundays, but it’s worth it. Lot’s of Indian families there on Sundays which is a good sign.
Dishes are reasonably flavorful here and not bland like some other Indian Buffets.
You go here for the food, not the ambience or service. Don’t go too late before closing or some trays will be fairly empty.

Mag-frackin-nificent! Ever since Passage to India went way downhill, my craving for Indian buffet has been unsatisfied. Then (que god-like music) I discovered this place. The food was top notch with a big variety at a fair price. They also offer buffet 7 days a week. the whole place was spotless. People were cleaning 100% of the time. And the staff was helpful, friendly, and overall just lovely. I can't wait to go back.

Parking: Easy parking, but very tight spots.

I have taken an Apollo fish and a fried rice.
The fish was too dry, not able to eat and chicken in fried rice was also not good and no spices at all.
This was the 1st time I have experienced.

The best halal buffet I've experienced in Charlotte. While the food is slightly on the spicy side, it's still absolutely delicious. I hope they consider offering milder options in the future. The service is outstanding, with friendly staff who are always in great spirits
