Very pretty on both the inside and outside. Loved the pork tacos and the steak skewers. The hummus was mediocre and my sister didn't like the palta de cameron. Drinks were good had the llama lime and would definitely order again. Our waitress was so nice and helpful when it came to what to order.

We had reservations two weeks in advance and paid a fair amount for the Uber to the restaurant’s location. But when we arrived, the restaurant had been rented out for an event. So they sat us in the corner of the bar at a table meant for drinks only. Without anywhere to go, we decided to stay. The rowdy party kept elbowing us and we waited for a long time for someone to wait on us, and no one came. Not a great start to our date night.After the crowd dissipated, we moved to the bar, and the service improved. We ordered several dishes, some fantastic, but all above average! I would come here again, but would call to make the reservation to ensure they haven’t rented the place out.

This was our first visit to Poplar Tapas Wine & Spirits tonight! It was located in a quaint neighborhood in Charlotte. It had street parking, which we didn't have any trouble finding a spot. It had great outdoor seating with live music starting around 7 pm. The staff was very friendly and took exceptional care of us. The inside is very charming and the food was outstanding! Love that they did not over feed you.... the plates were just the right size portions. Would definitely highly recommend this place for dinner! We will be back for sure!

Love Poplar for date night! Everything is so good and the vibes are on point. Mac n cheese is a favorite. Espresso martinis are delicious. Service has been great with no issues. Love the live music.

The inside of this restaurant is so cool, it's the inside of an old home. They also do 1/2 off a bottle of wine on Wednesday's so I would definitely recommend partaking in that. We got the charcuterie board, chorizo flatbread and mac and cheese, they all were very good. Check this place out for a good date night spot

Such a hidden gem in the fourth ward. Love the outdoor patio (though there’s not much shade during the late afternoon as summer sets in). The inside is wonderful — the bar is to the left after you walk in and has a great ambiance for grabbing a drink and unwinding. The dining space feels like you are in someone’s home, a great atmosphere for catching up with friends. Street parking is usually easy to find and there are meters on Church, which is only a two block walk. Just make sure you read all the posted signed! The arugula salad is delicious as is the avocado appetizer is nice, too. Definitely worth visiting.

The tapas were very good but the entrees were a little lacking in flavor. The service was very good, super attentive waitress and very nice. Unfortunately, the worst part of this dinner came in the bathroom at my house. My three friends and I have never had explosive diarrhea like this in my life. Our three toilets took a beating...We will not be back!
Excellent local restaurant! Food and drinks are always amazing and the atmosphere is super relaxed, one of our favorite places for a date night! Check out their monthly event night!! Went recently for their Argentina night with some excellent salsa dancers and themed food with wine pairings! Highly recommended!

Charming interior, amazing food and drink selection, suitable for a special date or family night out. Attentive staff, and even as a solo guest you get very well taken care of!
