Beer was good and cold. Bartender was super friendly. Brewery is in the Lower South End easy walk to the Scalybark train stop. Lots of outside seating. Brewery and pizza joint. Interesting concept
Place smelled amazing!

After a disappointing visit to the real big brewery across the street from Protagonist, this place was better. Food-wise, it's just pizza here, but even by the slice its real damn good. Try the Lando Calrissian. Beer-wise, Bertha, their Vienna Lager, is a winner. Have at least a couple pints, it's worth it. Service and vibe were both good, too. Stools at the bar. Four-tops inside and outside. It's smaller than that mega-space across the street, but the intimacy...

The pizza was really fresh and the sauce tasted good! Not to sound like a snob but being from NJ it is hard to find good pizza here. I had the gluten free pepperoni and it was actually really fresh and tasty. The only thing I would say is the gluten free pie is a small personal pie with only four slices which I wasn’t aware of.
