I will start off by saying that we were very excited about having lunch here. We had heard great things and had many recommendations to eat here.
We arrived around 1pm and there were a out 4 other tables already there and eating. We were shown to our seats quickly but then it took quite a while to be seen. The lady who had shown us to our seats ended up coming back and started our order.
We started with the Tod Mun Plaa (Thai fish cake) and we did enjoy that.
For our entree we chose Kuay Tiew Rua (Thai Boat Noodles) I realized once we had ordered and they brought us our meal, we were never asked about spice level. I didn't think of it, but I overheard the other tables being seated and with another server, always being asked about the spice level.
The portion for the entree was great and we knew we would have plenty to take home, even between the two of us.
Unfortunately a couple bites in, my husband just couldn't stomach it anymore. It was a bomb of salt and Five Spice. No other flavors could be tasted.
We also ordered the child's Pad Thai from the kids menu for our toddler. I'm not sure if it was because it was on the kids menu or not, but there didn't seem to be any flavor to it at all.
We were never really checked on and our server never seemed as kind and communicative as she was with other tables or as the other server was with his tables.
The visit definitely deflated our expectations.
We are hoping that the lack of service to our table and the quality of food was just a one off.
We may consider visiting again and trying other dishes.

Had a good experience here! Lots of options to pick from! Their lunch special is a great deal and comes with soup. They also have a variety of spice levels

Would rate a zero. Called in. They can’t speak nor understand English. Placed an order and went to pick up. They had no idea of who I was nor the order. Until they can learn to understand and properly speak English do NOT order from them.
At Rice and spice, the spice isn't all that nice. Staff seemed sort of cold. The only cheerful one was the lady in the back cooking. Portions for the soup ($32) were menial

Not worth the price and food isn’t authentic Thai and taste very bland (I personally feel that the food is not cooked by a Thai chef). Lastly the portions are very small for the price being charged.
Definitely not an authentic Thai restaurant and wouldn’t go here again.

Literally a gem of a find, the food was incredible. The Angry Cowboy was definitely a standout, as was the Kra Pow and Drunken Noodle. Service was fast, and we still had leftovers! The spice and herb profiles on each dish seemed carefully planned and attended to. Will be returning to this location ASAP!

I ordered the basil fried rice to go and while the food was hot, the rice was mushy and tasted like it had been sitting too long or it was possibly old. This is disappointing as I have never experienced this before any other time I’ve eaten here.

The prices are way too expensive for the food to only be average. It's not bad, but I've had food from here twice with different groups and tried a few different dishes, and all were... okay. I don't feel like I'll give this place a third chance if it's just going to be $$$$ and not even anything special.

Amazing. One of the top Thai places in Charlotte. Highly recommend. They also have allergens clearly labeled and gluten free options. So good. You won’t regret it.

We love Thai food, love the spices. One of our dishes was Prik Khing Chicken. The menu says it's "low spicy, says "1 chili spice level, which is low". It was way too spicy for us, and they replaced it with another dish. They said the kitchen makes just one level of spice sauce and can not change it. They did say they can put less sauce on the dish, but it's still spicy. The other dishes were wonderful! We have already been back and will continue to do so.

We went for the lunch special which was supposed to come with soup. They didn't have any, but they didn't offer anything to replace it.
