Swung by R&J for a pickup order I placed ahead of time. Walked in one minute early and the food was waiting on me. There was no wait. The owner was very friendly. Talked to me about the world cup some as they grabbed the food. Just a nice guy in general and made sure I was good to go. They have so many interesting options that I really recommend going the half and half option. Grab two of those and end up with being able to try four things out. We had the Hawaiian, Chicken Bacon Ranch, White with spinach, and Margarita. All of them were excellent, even rehating the leftovers the next day. Id be interested to just try a classic pepperoni and cheese from them at some point as well. Definitely worth giving them a try.

I've eaten a lot of pizza over the years, and this place genuinely impressed me.

My dad, brother, and I stopped in while they were visiting town, and we ordered the House Pie, a chicken parm stromboli, and a 7-piece order of wings. Everything was outstanding.

The pizza was exactly what I want from a New York-style pie: thin, crispy crust with just the right amount of crunch, plenty of flavor, and not overcooked or burnt. The ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, and the cheese pull was ridiculous—easily one of the longest I've ever seen. Every bite tasted like people who actually care about what they're making.

The chicken parm stromboli was equally good. My brother ordered it, and we all ended up stealing bites from each other because it was hard not to. The wings were another pleasant surprise. They were crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, and absolutely covered in sauce. I don't eat wings often, but compared to the typical chain pizza wings, these were on an entirely different level.

What really stood out was the value. Between the pizza, stromboli, wings, and extra sauces they gave us for free, we spent somewhere around $30–40 total for three adults. There was so much food that we couldn't finish it all, and I ended up getting two additional meals out of the leftovers.

The owners were working when we visited and took time to come out and talk with us. They were incredibly friendly and mentioned they've been in the pizza business for over 20 years. After eating there, that experience definitely shows.

Another thing I noticed was how clean everything was. The dining area and restroom were spotless, and they proudly displayed a perfect 100 health inspection score. That's something you rarely see, and judging by how well-kept the customer-facing areas are, it's easy to believe they maintain the same standards behind the scenes.

As an added bonus, it's located about a mile from Latta Preserve, which makes it a perfect stop after a hike.

I'll absolutely be back. The food was excellent, the portions were generous, the prices were more than fair, and the people running the place clearly love what they do. Frankly, they could probably charge more and still stay busy.

Highly recommended.

I’m from South Carolina, and I had this pizza like 2 months ago, but I loved it and the staff were cheerful and I still remember it 2 months later, so 5/5 easy

The pizza is great, but the front lady is pretty rude. I came in on a Saturday, not realizing they were closing in 15 minutes and she gave me an unpleasant look right away. Seeing that, I asked if the kitchen was closed, and she said with a blank face that they were closing in 15. I started to back away from the counter while saying “Oh my mistake! I’ll come back another time” and she stops me by saying, “No it’s fine, you can still order.” I feel kind of put off, because again clearly she’s ready for the night to end and is willing to submit the order, but begrudgingly. I start to order the pizza when a black man walks in behind me and the woman at the front interrupts me to suddenly say Are you two together?” I’m dumbfounded for a second. I’m also Black, so I have to assume she just jumped to a random conclusion because we’re the same race? Besides that what else would make her think a man who walked in a good 45 seconds or so after me, while I’m mid order, is with me?? I tell her no and complete the order. She’s just as unfriendly to this black man that orders after me, but also accepts his order. Then, in walks two non-black guys and she actually flashes them a smile when they come in. She greets them pleasantly! I’m witnessing this basically in shock because she had literally just scowled at me and the other guy for coming into the restaurant 15 minutes before close. I turn to look at the Black guy to see if he’s seeing what I’m seeing, but he’s into his phone and doesn’t catch my expression. I see her kindly tell these other two guys they can order both pizza and wings, but the kitchen is closing soon - no scowl detected. Shortly after that my pizza comes out and I leave making a mental note to not return. Weird experience!

I've ordered the Mexican Pizza from here through Uber Eats multiple times. I have absolutely loved it. (Had to stick in oven/air frier because it's a bit away.)

HOWEVER, I question how this has a 4.9 on Google after 400+ reviews. That's basically unheard of. Then you look at the review breakdown and it is almost only 5 stars.

Come on now.... Do you think we were born yesterday? There is clearly some vote manipulation going on here. If there wasn't, then you'd be in the top 25 of all these US best pizza restaurants instead of Pizza Baby in Charlotte, or whatever that is called - and that only has like a 4.3 on Google

Honestly, I really like this pizza, and I will purchase it again in the future, but I have to call out review manipulation when I see it.

I've never seen any other restaurant EVER have a 4.9 after 400+ votes until now. I think you may have gone a little overboard trying to get a good Google review score....
